When a new fd has released do you go play fd first or replay the first game again

It usually takes a few years before the release of the first installment of FD. I usually replay the first installment and then play FD again. If I play FD directly, I will forget the plot of the first installment and feel disconnected.

I would just play the fandisk. If it ends up that I've forgotten too many things, then I'll boot up the original.

Just play fd is my choice. And if fd was good, I may replay original game as well. I rarely read games the second they are out, so when the time for reading comes, not only fd is published, but sometimes even sequel is already available.

If a fandisc comes out years after the main game, I've probably already forgotten most of the story by then. I'll go look up some game reviews or check the CGs I saved to help refresh my memory. I don't usually replay a whole game.

I'm usually a latecomer, so I tend to play both original and sequel/fandiscs back-to-back!

If I have left some note/screenshots previously, I'll reread those; if I remember absolutely nothing, I might skim through reviews instead! Though I rarely end up needing to.

I always go back to the original game first. I already forgot the storyline, and I can't really enjoy the sequel if I don't remember the lore.

Of course, it might have taken a long time for the fandisc to come out, but if I play the main game and then the fandisc right after, it takes a long time, so I might get tired by the time I play the fandisc.
If I don't remember well, I look up the summary of the main game and then play the fandisc.

It depends on how long ago I played the previous game. I usually remember the plot of whatever I've played, unless it was really boring. But in that case, I don't really feel the need to play the next one anyway

It really depends on how much I've forgotten the base game. If I've completely forgotten the plot, I'll replay the base game from the beginning.

I'm too lazy to replay the original game so I will play FD directly, but many times FD reminds me how interesting the original one was that I went back to replay that after one route in FD

I just consistently replay the game from the very beginning. But playing like that, I get tired and quit, only to eventually forget that a fan disc was released... So these days, whenever a fan disc comes out, I just play that first. That works the best way, I find.

Im way too impatient after waiting years for an fd, theres no way I can responsibly contain my excitement and play the original first especially if I can finally romance some side characters I've been dying for!!
