What's the perfect amount of love interests?

multiple varities are good, but could be overstimulating for me. SOOO personally, there are instances where the LI count is already decent. But given how lovable the whole game is, I can't help myself wanting more of itttt >>.<< e.g. Cafe Enchante

About five or six, I guess. I don't really have a requirement for the number of people, but the more characters you can pursue, the more it affects how much space each person's story gets.

I'd say around 5–6 LIs. That feels like a good balance because there are enough characters to choose from, but not so many that the routes start to feel overwhelming or underdeveloped.

Of course I would be happy if there were more, but about five characters is fine with me! Even if there are a lot of routes, sometimes none of them really click with me anyway...

I think around five characters would be ideal. I don't want the story to get too thin by having too many of them.

I think 5-6 is ok for switch/pc otome. For mobile otome, if the story is well written, I can accept more LIs.

Yeah, 5 is a good amount already. But other than that uh.... I would rather face a 3 LIs and the author would focus on lengthening their routes. That would be a good advantage. Than have tons of LIs but each of them has little routes and the cliffhanger would be the issue for most players. @-@

As many as the writer can write while ensuring the characters and dynamics are fully fleshed out and that the player and MC can get something different from each character (LIs can have the same type of personality or trope but how they engage with the MC and other characters can always be different that you can feel like ' oh yeah I was able to explore a new side to an existing dynamic).

I prefer having longer and more thought out routes, so less LIs are preferred. I think 4-6 is a good amount, but I know 5 is around the standard.

I think five is a good number—it doesn't feel too overwhelming, and it makes choosing easier, right? That said, it does seem like the standard has pretty much settled on five lately, with the impression that any additional romanceable characters only get added in a fan disc later on.
