What's the longest you've left an otome game unfinished?

I just realized that it's almost been a decade since I have put Hakuoki Edo Blossoms on pause lol. It's not even because I didn't like the game (I already played all routes in Kyoto Winds), I just happened to put a pause on it one random day and then never got around to continuing it again. Which is hilarious now that I think about it bc within these past years, I've already completed plenty of other otome games

...I definitely have to start all over again with Kyoto Winds. I can't remember the finer details of every route anymore... Seriously, why didn't I just do: play one route in Kyoto Winds and continue the route in Edo Blossoms...

I have an otome game that I've left unfinished for the past three years, and I didn't even make it to a single ending lol. I honestly can't even remember why I stopped playing it... I think I just got more interested in other games, and once I moved on, it became harder and harder to feel like going back to it. It's not even that I disliked the game, either.😂

Probably around four or five years! Not with a otome but a bl. I got completely stuck on Mink's route in dramatical murder, I never liked the character, neither his personality nor his style, but I had to clear his route to unlock Ren's, so I Ieave it unfished for quite a long time till I felt like playing it again recently. But it definitely took me a while to find the motivation again.

its been 2 years since i last played bustafellows apparently.... didnt know it had gotten that long. it was hard for me to get into it, the common route felt kinda slow even though i was probably in the beginning of it which is why. i think i'll try to make it my goal to finish it by the end of the year and put an end to it collecting dust

It's been 2 years since I started Akaza's route, and I still haven't managed to get through it because I don't want to say goodbye to the game. (Although I keep rereading Riku's route.) But I guess it's probably time, especially now that the fandisc is out.

It's been a year and a half since I've been held hostage by Yang, making it impossible for me to move on to the next route. I just keep rereading his route over and over again

And it's been a year since I completed the Cupid Parasite common route. And I actually liked it
