Whats a pet peeve of yours in otome CDs?

Probably not a popular opinion, but I usually treat Drama CDs as sleep sounds with voice If things get too loud or the dialogue gets a little too intense it kinda pulls me out of it.
That's one reason I prefer commercial works over doujins a bit in otome, they're usually much more careful about that kind of thing. (*´ｰ`人)blessed

what I like with commercial works is that they usually seem less likely to go hard into the licking/ear stuff territory. A lot of doujins I have to fast forward through and some tracks skip entirely cause I am just not about all that slurping. ^^;

also the comments on baby play. for some reason that seems to have been a popular thing in Jp audience these days ^^; some of the girls I follow on xitter are apparently really into those CDs... It's definitely not my thing either though. I like ddlg stuff but not THAT little. XD

and as for story heavy stuff, I agree. I prefer more plot that can get me invested in the scenarios. Recently listened to Tokage from Koguma cookie though and it was amazing for that, it was actually more like listening to a movie than a situCD though. I feel like people would be disappointed if they went into it expect sex and self insert. ^^; I think Eve from them is supposed to be pretty plot heavy too but I haven't been able to bring myself to listen to that one fully yet because there are certain RL past parallels for me that I fear I may get into a bad headspace from.

but yeah, a lot of stuff that goes straight into sex and then it's just, mostly sex I'm just kinda bored about usually? I mean, I guess it might be more appealing if I went into it feeling randy or something but otherwise it just feels kinda boring and all the (like someone above said lmao) mukbang stuff just ends up irritating me. XD It really sucks because there's quite a few I've purchased that I end up just shelving immediately because it's too much. I know it's like a popular ASMR tingle thing for them I guess? (I've not really ever felt much from the ASMR stuff) so it's difficult to not expect at least SOME (it's pretty much every tag I swear lmao) but sometimes it's hard to tell if something is going to end up being all about that or not..

oh and a peeve with yandere focused stuff for me is the amount of pregnancy stuff. I don't like pregnancy/baby/kids and the thought of a parasite growing in me like that, no thaaaaank youuuu. but I love yandere and most yandere media has preg tags.. so sometimes I feel like before I buy something I Have to really investigate to see how much of factor it is in the scenario/story.... like if it's just some throw away lines in a track, okay, I can ignore it as heat of the moment stuff. But also I feel like for most yandere, why would they want their darling pregnant which will make her sick and in pain, then when born would take away most of his time from her... always just seemed like a cheap/not well thought out plan to shackle someone anyway.. ^^;

and speaking of that, why can't any of these heroines just be on birth control. then you can just enjoy the pies without the anxiety lmfao.

well, those are probably my main R18 peeves anyway. I feel like I'm actually superrrr picky and it's hard to find something I end up enjoying a lot. kind of why I particularly enjoy the sharing here since I already end up spending enough on things I end up not even able to listen to ^^;

As someone who does not want kids irl its so off-putting!! I can forgive alot of red flags but the act of forcing someone to have children draws very close parallels to reality... like, I love the concept of going at it raw but please, put that girl on birth control first shoutout to rouge et noir for actually doing this

I personally do not like it when its two guys doing kissing sound on the ears. I remember one with the va Daisuke Hirakawa (looove this va) and his role was a set of twins licking and slurping on the listeners ear and It was very awkward lol.

I just can't stand hearing that thudding sound—like a punch? It's fine if SFX is meant to represent hitting a mob, but hitting heroine-chan aka us??? Absolutely not my cup of tea. There's one sitCD i finished to heard and he do 腹パン to our stomach, my mind was "DID YOU PUNCH OUR BELLY??" bc it sounded like he's hitting with his fist but one of the comment said "he was hitting our belly by using his stomach so I think it's okay , guys." Agree on everything you said but THIS specifically always sends me lol whether it's on CDs or games, because most of the time I'm somewhat taller than that standard envisioned by writers I end up making everyone giants in my head for the dialogue/CG/scene to make sense lol

I listen to a lot of situation CDs, and as someone else mentioned, I often listen to them while falling asleep. So sudden loud noises or shouting really startle me.
On top of that, being yelled at just isn't very pleasant, so it's not something I enjoy even when I'm fully awake.

Another thing I often notice in less polished scripts is when the protagonist repeats something the (voiceless) heroine supposedly just said, or when they're made to read out what feels like narration or exposition. I always find myself thinking, "There has to be a more natural way to handle this." Of course, it's not like I could write a better script myself.
