What you do with the games played?

I'm kinda curious how everyone saves their games archieves...
In case you have finished the gameplay, are you going to delete it to save computer storage space or what?

It's a little embarrassing but my games folder is a huge disorganized mess:dispirited: Everything just goes in one big folder. The only organizing I have is a sub folder for Nitro+Chiral extras like their drama cd's, fan discs, and other goodies. If I start running out of room, I'll probably move completed games to an external drive.

I've got a couple of spare hdds that I extracted from the laptop I had 12yrs ago- any games I'm not playing or am done playing with get moved onto them, along with their save files.
Basically I'm just a massive hoarder and I usually don't delete things bc of the whole "what if I want to look back on what I've played someday" etc lol

Delete the game off the device, but keep a backup in my HDD.

I love revisiting old games I've played before XD

If I think I won't revisit it again in the future, I'd delete the whole game.
but if I have memorable experience while playing the game, I'd back up only the save file somewhere in my drive.

even though my storage is extremely limited, i often just dont have the heart to delete the games ive completed.. good thing is that i pretty much stopped playing most singleplayers (aside from rpgm horror games and yume nikki fangames), so i at least have some sort of free space, but still, its not like its permanent;; my vn folder is like 560 gb at this point, which is half of the total amount of storage i have WWWW i really need to clean it up someday

I have to delete old games mostly because I have a potato pc with a small storage. Gotta make space to play more games lol

That's my current situatiooon!! i downloaded the games in an external disk but now is extremely full... almost 900Gb used LOL
so i was kinda curious how you all save the games without deleting it completely to free space...

Do you save the whole game including the save files or just the game itself?

i personally just save it overall..... save files usually take extremely small amount of space so like, whats even the point of deleting them? <-- this is what i think about tiny games and then they add up to like 120 gb in size LOL

i guess the best course of action is to have a cloud storage somewhere? as in sites like mega or mediafire or terabox something similar. it comes with its own risks of course.. but unless you have some spare hdds (which i personally dont), this seems like the best solution....;;

there are times when im in a dire need of space, so i delete some vns, but then i immediately regret it because i feel the craving to read them RIGHT THIS INSTANT (yet i know im not going to even if i restore/redownload them)

im a massive hoarder.. like a dragon sitting on a pile of gold, but said pile is actually a tiny puddle......

I know your feels T^T
I am also kinda worried about storing it on cloud storage, they say if you dont login in a long time, they would delete the archieves (not sure if it is true or false tho) and i also kinda have a weird ''compulsion'' of need to have the game there altho i dont really open it (played before)

thats true.. most of these services need to monetize themselves to survive, so a paid subscription is a must, but most of the time i cant keep up with these subscriptions, even if theyre only monthly.....;; safekeeping is so hard!!!!;;

I keep them. I try to get physical copies whenever I can so once I finish something, it'll sit on my shelf until I feel like playing again, or if I never feel like playing it again, it will stay there forever. For digital ones, I keep them, too, shoved away in some folder on my computer.

I'm a massive hoarder, so my instinct is to try and keep every little game I have and I'm actually saving towards a NAS just so I can hoard even more stuff LOL

That being said, I do uninstall games after I'm done with them if they happen to be games that frustrated me to the point where just seeing the game icon pisses me off, or if it's a game that I can easily access again if I ever want to replay it (like a game I bought off Steam for example)

I keep game and save files on an external 2TB HDD! I use it only for VNs (and I compress them) so I have around 1.3TB free still. My favorites also get uploaded to cloud storage, and console games are stored in the HDD and the devices themselves unless I really need the space (I have a 256GB SD card on Switch, and a 128GB one on Vita). I'm a bit of a data hoarder! Haha
Some of my favorites I keep on the computer as well.

I deleted most of them when I didn't have free space. Nowadays I do keep a few really special ones though since I have brought a new SD card lol

I usually just delete them if I'm running out of space. I rarely replay games so it's usually not a big deal to delete them and I can probably redownload them in the future if I have to. The only ones I keep are the ones that are hard to find or I really loved/important to me. I usually keep them on my old computer or on an external drive. It's hard to keep every game nowadays because the sizes are so big :( If it was possible I'd keep them all lol

I replay games semi-frequently so I mostly keep them downloaded! I delete ones that I don't plan on revisiting tho :)

Hello fellow hoarders! hahaha, I have a decade's worth (580GB) on an SSD because I'm weak for nostalgia...I don't even bother deleting abandoned/unfinished games...yay for historical preservation of digital media I guess?

Hoard them like most people who are into niche stuff that can get disappear from the internet at any moment. It's become an instinct atp.

Delete them!
Because I don't have enough storage space.
But if I really love a game then I'll keep it.
