What would make you decide to make a purchase?

As i don't have much extra money mostly the price and whether i'll like the game enough to replay it. It makes the chances higher if the game has an element of voice acting or great art.

I'm usually on a tight budget, so price is the main factor I have to consider when making purchases. I'm often so hesitant to make purchases even with what seems to be a "cheap" thing because my brain likes to metaphorically beat me up by telling me I should have saved my money for something more important. But then again, if I listened to my brain, I'd be spending no money on hobbies and I'd feel miserable, so...

As for what makes me buy something when it's within my budget, I'd say it has to do with the art and the vibes I get from the story or setting. If I think the story will sound interesting and I like the look of the art, then hell yeah, I'll drop some money on it. If I feel off about something, though, I'll hold off on my money.

For me, the production team comes first! The writer and director are super important to me. If a game is made by the same team behind another game I really enjoyed, I'm way more likely to buy it.
Next would be the art style. To be completely honest... no matter how amazing the story is, if the art isn't really my taste, I just can't get fully immersed in it. So the artwork definitely plays a huge role in my decision.
Lastly, maybe whether it's on sale or not? Haha.

First of all, I look at the art style before anything else. The art needs to be beautiful for me to want to buy the game.
Secondly, I look at the story!
If it's too expensive, there are times when I wait for a sale to buy it.

For CDs I try to wait for what is on sale, but other than that I try to spend what little money I have on my fave VAs or content that aligns with my interests. Other than one with an eggplant in a dude's butt. Ngl bought that one just cause they made me laugh.

For CD, it's the VA and the Brand/Circle.
For Otome games, it's the artstyle, characters design, also the protagonist design is very important to me.

For me, the story is always the most important factor. A beautiful art style might catch my attention at first, but it's the plot that ultimately determines whether I buy a game or not.

My decision would be based purely on reviews from otome game reviewers, such as Otome Kitten. I would read their articles beforehand and evaluate the overall criticism, the pros and cons, and other aspects of the game.. The final rating would also matter since from what I've noticed, the scores do often reflect the game's quality quite accurately ! The price is another important factor. Waiting for a game to go on sale would be my top top priority before making that purchase !

I always play games by myself first, checking the plot content and whether the character style attracts me. Sometimes when I come across games that affect my brainwaves, I would buy their CDs, badges, standing cards, and so on.

When I come across otome games that I really like, I will play them many times and directly purchase game cartridges for collection.

While I do place importance on the VAs and the story, I decide to purchase something when—after checking out samples or previews—I feel like it's something I'll enjoy experiencing over and over again.

While I place particular importance on my favorite voice actors, labels, and series, if an item I've had my eye on happens to be on sale, that often prompts me to buy it.

For otome games (but just games in general) I also look at reviews but most importantly I look at the story and character designs! I am a sucker for anything that looks nice and with something engaging so I tend to be pretty easy when it comes to purchasing stuff HAHA I just make sure to read the reviews so that I don't get jump scared by anything crazy

Content is by far the most important thing.
As long as the voice isn't physically repulsive, it's fine.
But when it comes to erotic content, I do think about the voice, lol.

The setting and the story are the most important for me. If i am not completely sure if the story would be for me, i read a few reviews beforehand. I also look at the artstyle. If a game is pretty, it gets a lot of bonuspoints. I also buy games i was not sure aboute, if they are on sale for a good price!

I'm honestly really shallow when it comes to buying otome games. :ROFLMAO:
The first thing that gets me is the aesthetic. If I love the art style, character designs, and overall vibe, there's a very good chance I'll pick it up.
I do read reviews, but they're usually not what convinces me. If I really like how a game looks, I'll probably give it a chance anyway, even if the reviews are mixed.

First, I need to have enough money. Second, the game's price shouldn't exceed my budget. Lastly, it has to be fun or look good enough that I can forget its terrible storyline. Of course, the most important thing is just that I like it.:devilish:

I usually buy otome games when their on sales..but back when i didn't know they was sales on this genre i used to just look up for the synopsis, now what i usually do is checl the seiyuus on the project ( since i can be really biased ) if there's no particular favourite i check their age synopsis and do this to all of the otome games I'm interested to buy and compare if one has a specific character voiced by a seiyuu i love w I'll prioritise it. Like i bought many of my otome games just for one or two seiyuus being in the game— but sometimes i just buy them bc i have extra money ( those end in my backlogs untouched )

I agree with everything that has already been told, I just wanna add that having a demo helps me a lot! It allows me to see if I actually like the game, as well as a chance to get hooked on the story.

For me, the chemistry between in-game couples is the most important thing. I've even bought CDs in the past because I was curious about the epilogues of characters I liked.

When I like the price, voice actor, and story, I finally buy it😊

I don't have much money, so I have to carefully select it... Illustrations may also be quite important? I want a beautiful jacket photo😍

I think the art is the first thing that catches my eyes. And then I read the story and check the VAs. If the story seems interesting and it's VA I like, and if it's on good sale, I'll make the purchase.
