What type of LI's do you go for?

defo villain and ruthless, not just cruel to other people but suddenly kind to MC, I'm kinda disappointed in that, I need LI to actually evenly cruel to us and others, I might need therapy haha
Most otoge don't have this kind of chara tho, usually the one I like is not kouryaku-able :'(

I don't know how to put it into words, maybe a red flag? the ones that are definitely not nice and not too much of a goody two shoes. Like, Scien from Shuuen no Virche and Yang from Piofiore. (What wrong with me? 😅 ).

I've always loved tsundere characters. They are my fave in otome games and manga. I also love yandere, puppy dog, and dark, mysterious characters.

Broadly speaking yanderes and tsunderes!
Some of the more specific traits would be ones who are sassy/cheeky, witty, sarcastic, manipulative, playful, teasing, sly/cunning and morally questionable lol
I especially tend to love charas who are obsessively in love with the mc and would be happy to do anything for her- including seeing the rest of the world burn!

i seem to always fall for the flirty-ish/confident love interests who end up being kind of pathetic/traumatized but can only show this side to the heroine. Another type I like would be characters who are avoidant attachment LOL. Need them to be afraid of committment :sneaky:..

i don't have a specific type in Li, but the most important thing of all, i like an LI who has a charming n beautiful smile, for example Nicola from Piofiore

One thing that usually got me hooked would be the yandere trope or "I'm mentally ill so i will do anything for u even when u didn't agree with my way" type, you cannot spell yandere in otome if you don't mention Toma from Amnesia

or a two-faced person, idk why but seeing a seemingly perfect LI that suddenly turned cold and cocky, GOT ME JUMPIN, for instance is Yori from Illusion of Itehati

also a beautifully designed n unique appearance is what also i noted, for example Il from Cafe enchante

I tell myself I'm into mature, sane and caring characters, yet I always go for tsundere or obsessive characters. Bonus points if they're easily embarrassed or have a pathetic side

I really love Tsundere or really sweet ones. Or really stubborn ones. Their point is so different that I cannot choose only one type.

Its either the very cheerful guy or the very calm and mysterious one. I cant choose...

Broadly, tsunderes, yanderes, mature guys, etc.

But I think what I like most is when LIs are well-written and are more than their "assigned archetype". Deconstructions, characters who seem one way but are actually another, things like that

God for my i'm all over the place, like.. I -love- a tsundere. (Kei, Ken ga kimi, Koharu - 9 Rip.)
But i also love 'the earnest puppy' like Yukimaro(9 RIP), Mineo (Collar x Malice).
Himbos (Impey)

...tbh there's few characters I dislike, I only dislike the 'timid' characters really.

A lot of cat-type tsundere characters with sharp tongues lol
They're usually on the shorter/smaller side and give off that younger guy vibe

my tastes are all over the place and the only type of LI that i actually tend to actively dislike is the flirty/playboy types. just not my thing. but i do like genkis, tsunderes, yanderes, shy types and all that. sometimes im also not really into villains but it really depends on how good the route itself is

I tend to like more dangerous/morally gray love interests. Characters like Yang from Piofiore are really interesting to me because they're unpredictable and not the typical "nice" romance option. I enjoy routes where the LI has a darker personality or questionable morals since it makes the story feel more intense and dramatic. That said I also like when these characters still have layers to them so learning more about their motivations and seeing different sides of them during the route is really engaging

If I had to describe my type, it's probably the kind of character who just keeps lingering in my mind.

Like, even after I stop playing, I catch myself randomly thinking about them again. Those characters that just stick with you for some reason.

So yeah, I guess my "type" is basically the one I can't stop thinking about lol.

I have two distinct types it seems and they couldn't be more opposite haha. I'm a sucker for either the genki, happy-go-lucky sweethearts OR the brooding, kuudere/tsundere types. It's always a toss-up which of those character tropes will grab me first when I start a new game.

This is a good way to describe how I feel too! Sometimes a character outside of my "types" will just stick in my mind in a way I can't shake. Shiraishi from Collar x Malice is an example of a character that doesn't fit my usual "types" but his route didn't leave me for DAYS after I finished!

I'm a huge yandere lover, so I'll always be drawn to yandere characters! I also like the otouto/oniichan types, and if they're yandere too, that's basically paradise for me <3333 But I also have a soft spot for the kawaii, shy ones

im not exactly sure how to word this but the lis that immediately get me interested are the ones who feel like they dont belong with the mc? maybe the way to phrase it would be someone forbidden? you see a cast of characters and immediately you can tell this one character either feels like they shouldnt be an option or that realistically theyd have the worst chances of ever actually getting together with the heroine and i love that !! lis like that always have strong angst filled stories which bring out intense sides to both the li and the heroine in an obsessive and determined way since they have to try so hard to make their love for each other work ^^

if a game doesnt have someone like that i think i end up going for the li who feels like theyd feel the safest to be with, someone protective who's main priority is the heroine and her happiness - usually lis that have a childhood friend vibe or big brotherly vibe to them fall into this category for me since they value friendships and family the most so theyd know best how to be genuinely caring to a partner ^^
