What route from a game do you think is perfect from start to finish?

Or close to perfect, anyway. I'm really picky about LI's I like, and I usually find a way to nitpick them in the end. But when I played Him, The Smile & Bloom for Tenya's route, I was really shocked by how the story flowed so naturally and how Miku and Tenya's dynamic was so cute and satisfying?? Tenya isn't even my favorite LI, but the route was easily the best IMO.

So it made me curious if there are other routes in other games that made you feel like this? I'm really interested!! :D

Collar x malice Mineo's route was so good the chemistry between him and Ichika, he was not fav and there was many plot points missing still romance development was good in his route. Lover pretend Riku's route was great too.

Victor's route in the first Code:Realize game. You cannot look at that route and tell me it shouldn't have been the unlockable route instead of Lupin (whom I also love, but...) T--T I adored it from beginning to end.
 
It's not an otome game, it's more of a visual novel with optional romance, but Cove Holden is my favorite character; his route with all its branches is beautiful.

In this image she's 13 years old, it's such a sweet romance haha, if your character is male or female many things change and that's really interesting with a LI as versatile as Cove.

Yoritomo from Birushana and Akaza from Olympia Soiree.

I loved everything about Yoritomo's route, especially the way Shana chipped away at his cold exterior. Nothing feels more satisfying than seeing a kuudere slowly opening up and getting jealous 🤭. I also thought the switch from their sibling dynamic was well-done. Plot-wise, the story and conflict resolution also make the most sense in his route.

Now about Akaza, I had to suffer through 4 routes I did not enjoy to finally unlock his. Luckily, he did not disappoint.
I was squealing from the first to the last chapter. The story was also wrapped up nicely, no exposition overload like in other true routes.

Mabuchi Meiyou's route from Club Suicide is nearly perfect as it includes almost everything I had been looking for in an otome game.

It's so hard to choose because I have so many favorites! There's Yang and Nicola from Piofiore, Yves and Scien from Virche Evermore, every single boy from Him the Smile Bloom, Yosuga from Olympia Soiree, and so many other wonderful husband! :chuuni_kira:
 
Le Salut from Virche was sooooooooo good! Even though there's some really stupid explanations there I can't deny how much I got hooked reading it... Also Adolphe!!! Adolphe!!! He's definitely one of my favorite LIs ever...

Also Lugus route in Psychedelica of the Ashen Hawk... Absolute cinema 😭

alice from taisho x alice, i love how the epilogue episode ties everything together sooo nicely. kuroyuki from nightshade also comes to mind instantly, his route is great. him and enju deserve the world
 
Le Salut from Virche for sure- still my absolute fav route ever and one of the many reasons why Virche's always going to be one of my fav games!
 
IT IS CRIMINAL TO NOT MENTION ALL OF THE CAFE ENCHANTE'S ROUTE

from the first li down to the last, i didn't find any dissatisfaction towards this game, and suddenly found myself crying everytime i finish this heart-wrenching game

if i had to choose one, maybe Il was the most perfect dynamic building and story, his character was so unique that made me remember him everytime i play otome
 
I think the last time I really had no issues with a route was when I played Suzu's route in Jack Jeanne! I liked it so much I still haven't been able to check out the other routes lol. It's even more impressive to me bc he has a lot of traits I otherwise tend not to love (red hair, genki, slow on the uptake, etc) but somehow it just works.

The only other instance I can really think of is Lance from Nameless, which I played three times before moving on and finishing the rest lolll (given, I was like 15 at the time and he's my first True otome love so maybe going back with fresh adult eyes may change my mind...). Listing it out like this makes me laugh bc Lance is also a type I generally don't like (abrasive tsun). Maybe that's my criteria? Being the exception that proves the rule for my turnoffs? www

Most routes I've played recently though I can't say are "perfect" though even if I really like them haha (Madoka & Rei from Blackish House are coming to mind) but also I think I'm really picky so... I'm rambling.
 
I'm gonna take advantage that the title says 'game' and not strictly vn/otome game (⁠ㆁ⁠ω⁠ㆁ⁠). Soooo! My favorite route is from a Choicescript game...is Ortega from Fallen Hero
⁽⁠⁽⁠ଘ⁠(⁠ ⁠ˊ⁠ᵕ⁠ˋ⁠ ⁠)⁠ଓ⁠⁾⁠⁾.

The game is still unfinished (it's a four book saga, and only two books have been released officially) but what content it has those two books...Chef kiss! 😘.

The angst, the shared trauma and bonding, the past, the explosive dynamic between MC and Ortega, the toxicity and the many feelings you can tell (or don't) to them (you can choose their gender). Be their friend (hiding a crush), be their past lover (and new one), be their enemy (and most reliable ally). It's sooo good, and I'm waiting for more (and replaying what content the code have) of him of her of them ♡⁠˖⁠꒰⁠ᵕ⁠༚⁠ᵕ⁠⑅⁠꒱
 
Yosuga's route from Olympia. His mysterious demeanor and his voice is just perfect from start to finish.

For me, it's Gilbert Redford's route from Piofiore no Banshou. I liked his story and he's a great character. That's why I enjoyed his route the most.

Also, the route of Hades Aidoneus from Kamigami no Asobi - Ludere Deorum. While the other gods didn't impress me, I loved Hades from the very beginning.
 
It's not perfect for everyone, but Sanit and Victor's routes in Code Realize were something I really enjoyed while playing the game
 
Takeru from Collar x Malice. His route had me grinning and blushing the entire time.
 
For me, those routes would be Henrik from Beast and Princess & Shidou Subaru from Sweet fuse: At Your Side.
 
In my opinion is Allan's route from CupiPara, both the first game and Fandisk. Everything was so perfect that I only stopped playing when the Switch ran out of battery. The ending was the icing on the cake, it warmed my heart (⁠´⁠∩⁠｡⁠•⁠ ⁠ᵕ⁠ ⁠•⁠｡⁠∩⁠`⁠)
