What Otome fd has disappointed you

Taisho x Alice - FD - Heads and Tails

I wanted to know more about Alistair, but he ended up being a side character instead.
I didn't like most of the routes either. Only 1 route picked my interest.

Probably Radiant Tale Fanfare. It just wasn't as fluffy as I had hoped it would be.

Dance with Devils MyCarol. I think it was way too short and simple in a bad sense, with only handful of scenarios. The extra scenario with the full cast was okay though, they could've made it longer. It could've been way better...

AMNESIA. I forgot which FD it was. It was advertised as offering the same kind of suspense as the main game, but in reality, it wasn't really to that extent; it was childish. What I learned from this is the lesson that you shouldn't take advertisements at face value...

That was probably Amnesia Crowd.
It has Suspense mode that shows different possibilities of the 1st game's main story.

Oh, I remembered! I liked LATER, so I had high expectations for CROWD, but the story was mediocre and it was a letdown. Because of that, I ended up skipping World.
It's thanks to you that I was able to remember.

For me then there is steam prison and radiant tale fanfare, Uchronia trail is actually quite disappointing for me in some aspects but I still managed to finish it without getting too carried away

Steam Prison. I was so excited when it was announced its release, cause it's my favorite otome ever, but I felt extremely disappointed with what they did on this FD. I wanted to love it, but making you start from the beginning with your Li was just not what they should've done 😞

Why is everyone disappointed in steam prison? I was lookingfoward to it because of

I honestly don't know if I've played an FD I've enjoyed yet 0 - 0;; Either they release too far after I've already forgotten about the main game, or they just don't have enough substantial content to feel worth what's normally the price of another full game. I much prefer on the rare occasions where otomes just have straight up #2 sequels/become franchises (UtaPri, DiaL, La Corda, etc.)
 
Might be slightly controversial but virche's FD was a bit disappointing in regards to Ankou's route for me, I enjoyed most of it so I wasn't fully let down. But as someone who hates Capucine, I really hated how he got a focus in it and tried to make him likeable/give him an undeserved redemption. like sorry, you cant make me like him in the slightest LOL

I was a little disappointed with the Cupid Parasite - Spicy and Darling FD ;; Mainly because I wanted more of
Jupiter's route and that spicy ending, it wasn't spicy at all, it scared me a lot!
 
Steam Prison FD was also disappointing for me. I haven't even finished it. And Taisho x Alice FD too. Reading the same story rehashed for the 100th time wasn't really enjoyable…

So far, Tailor Tales (I thought it was going to be more drama than anything else, maybe even some toxicity... but...) has too many toxic and poorly executed routes. (Dimitri is the only one I loved, and Neil was "okay"; the others were too toxic and poorly executed. I still need to start Eeyok; I have faith.)
 
Second to Virche's FD.
It felt like it existed mainly to give Ankou his salvation route that couldn't fit into prequel. (Which I enjoyed reading tho!)

But the main issue was...their TEXT BOX.

Thin Mincho/Gothic with a white background!! Seriously I was fighting for my life trying to read it lol
Also I'm still not convinced Drifter who's looks basically Eve's twin but somehow has that deep, gravelly narrator voice xDD /jk

Since it's an if story rather than a proper sequel, I'd accept the difference compared to the tightly written main game. Their CG quality also got a massive upgrade though, and honestly that's reason enough to play it through!

I don't consider Steam Prison as FD, it was more like a standalone sequel. And it was too short compared to the main game so i was disappointed about it.
For fandisk disappointment, it's
Radiant Tale -Fanfare!-
Because the first game itself never appealed to me, i was thinking, finally i can probably get more spice out of this with the FD, but they still want to be clowns and do kiddie hand holding and highschool drama. Also prince had no proper route.

I think the game that disappointed me the most is Hakuoki's FD. I prefer the new continuation plot after the end of this chapter, and I don't really like the plot content of FD, which is still the daily trivial plot in the first installment. If the daily trivial plot is included in the first part, it will appear more complete, rather than being taken out separately as an FD. Therefore, playing this game mainly focuses on playing the first part. SSL is a new type of storyline game, and I think it's quite fun.
