What Japanese dialect do you like the most?

Even outside of Kansai-ben, regional dialects can sometimes be so different from Tokyo's standard Japanese that they almost sound like a completely different language, so I imagine translating them must have been quite a difficult task. You must have worked really hard!

It's not translation work, it's not that grand lol. It's more like a club activity. Back then, our school made it mandatory to learn Japanese, but when I attended, it changed to Arabic instead. So, I joined a Japanese club and learned many things, like studying Japanese from books, anime, visual novels, or even drama CDs (the all-ages ones ofc lol).

We even went to cultural festivals held by universities (their Faculty of Japanese Literature) in our town sometimes!

That Kansai-ben audio was used for a surprise test by our president. The teacher was only there in name to supervise, we were basically taught by our seniors. Well, I barely made it lol. No one got a perfect score because Kansai-ben was really foreign to us.

That's when we were taught that Japanese has dialects, and Kansai-ben is one of them. Then we had to gather anything with Japanese dialects! It's really interesting.
