I caught the tail end of the PS1 era and the entire PS2 era from then on, but the PS2 holds a special place in my heart. I feel that games were more fun back in the PS2 era compared to today's games, and sometimes I find myself wanting to turn my PS2 back on to replay some old ones. The one I most want to play is Onimusha Dawn of Dreams; that, along with Castlevania Lament of Innocence, were the first games I played and the ones I cherish the most. (I also had a huge crush on Soki and Leon Belmont in my childhood XD I think that was already a sign of my future obsession with otome games!) I have good memories with those two, I remember every night making sure my parents were asleep before turning on the PS2 and rushing to mute the TV so it wouldn't make that famous PS2 menu sound when it starts up lol. In Onimusha I remember there was a boss that was terrible to beat, one that had a man with a bird (or was it a crow?) I always died to him XD And in Lament of Innocence I often stood with Leon in fields without enemies as soon as I entered a new map just to listen to the game's beautiful soundtracks (Michiru Yamane is an incredible composer, if you don't know her, check out the OSTs she's done for games! (☞゚∀゚)☞) my favorite of hers is in Lament of Innocence This this one:

Every time I listen to this song I only remember Leon yelling "I'm going to defeat you and the Moon!!" lol he's so silly and cheesy but so cute!! Anyway, these two games are incredible and very special to me, they have a special place in my heart! Feel free to share the games that marked your childhood!

The first game I ever played and beat was Jak and Daxter. It used to be the only game we owned at the time so me and my older sibling would play it constantly lol. It's a game my mom played with us too. So that game has a lot of good memories attached to it for me.

Oh my, you unlocked an old memory of mine, haha! My younger brother and I loved playing Jak X Combat Racing! It was fun and hilarious because we didn't have a memory card back then, so we'd spend hours competing to see who could get the furthest on a race track, haha!

Probably all the pokemon ds games, especially soul silver and platinum. There was fashonista game, I forget what it's called, and cooking mama. And outside of that, wii sports for how much it made fun of my "physical" age.

I played a lot of DS games as a kid but I have such fond memories of the old PS2 we had. I would play so much Katamari Damacy and some Soul Calibur III with my sibling. We'd often try to just throw each other off the stage lol

The old Pokémon games are really fun! I never finished one, but I really enjoyed wandering around in Fire Red and Platinum just catching random Pokémons (ㆁωㆁ)

This is me when I play Mario Kart with my younger brother (he's the one who always ends up pushing me off the track when he's dribbling past me, it always happens lol)

Fable 2 comes to mind. I played it over and over and over. I did good-only play-throughs, evil only play-throughs, will (magic) only, range only, melee only. I did speedruns- I could beat the game in like 3 hours, and then I would restart and do it all over again. I was even so petty that if I was doing a play-through and reached a town that didn't have the only NPC design I liked I would restart. I collected every item there was to find in the game, and read the descriptions of EVERYTHING. Fable 3 was the first game I preordered, and... yeah it wasn't that good. Fingers crossed for Fable 4!

It's *Momotaro Dentetsu*.
Whenever four of us got together, we always played this game.
I learned Japanese geography through this game.

Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, Planescape torment. Might and magic 8.

I remember when I started playing Planescape for the first time. It was a big surprise that being all cheerful and friendly with locals may result you a punch in a face. X)

When I was a child, I often played these browser games with my brother, and we would often argue over certain levels.Later, when we were a bit older, we also played games like Overcooked and It Takes Two together. We would still start arguing at the slightest disagreement, just like when we were kids. Huh, those are truly fond memories.

My favorite memories are with my brothers too, I really miss the time when we were kids and we used to play games XD nowadays they only want to play Valorant and Elden Ring, they're such boring games (skill issues on my part lol)

My dad is a gamer, so I grew up playing all kinds of things, he got me into games as soon as I knew how to hold a controller lmao (I'm an older sister, so he just got me into his hobbies before my brothers were born haha)

As a kid I had a PS2 (to this day, the PS2 library is my favorite, since I love survival horror and RPGs) and later on a Xbox 360. I've also had a PS3 and a SNES.

Kingdom Hearts is my favorite franchise, and I do believe is because I fell in love with it as a young girl!
There's also the Zelda games, specifically ALTTP, Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess. For the Castlevania games, besides SOTN (obviously lol) I got really into Aria of Sorrow and Rondo of Blood. There's Mana and Dot Hack series as well, and Tomb Raider, Mass Effect and Gears of War on the 360 :)

It's almost all RPGs now that I think about it haha
Most of those games are still among my favorites. I miss the PS2... maybe I should buy one (with a CRT as well, can't imagine how it is to hook one on a flat-screen!)
