What do you think the future for otome games will be like?

Hello~ Tell me what you think in the replies! Have you read half prince? (With virtual reality glasses you can live in the game) Do you think the technology can be like this one day, full immersion? Or will it go on like this?

i remember toraware no palm had a heated pillow i think?? or did i hallucinate it? back in like 2019.. maybe earlier. it was a cute piece of merchandise, considering the nature of the game

games have definitely experimented with various trinkets, although maybe not otome ones. i know there are several galge titles that have (nsfw) sex toy support.. and im guessing its for onaholes. dohna dohna is the prime example, although i heard from various sources that their onaholes are very bad quality LMAO. id be interested in seeing how something like that could be used for otome too..
(ive never used vr devices, but id be scared to interact with my men that way. id prefer it if there was some sort of barrier between us.. specifically phone or computer screen.....?)

I would be very happy just with more games having "companionship" + productivity (???) functions, like the study/work/exercise with me-like things there are in lads, or the additional voices that have the characters cheering you up, saying good morning to you and stuff like in overrequiemz and SSL. I'm not very optimistic about any other WOAH innovation in otome ngl.

We are only starting to have 3D games and live 2d is still a rare find, so I'm not very hopeful to see virtual reality in games. And even when they'll invent it at some point, otome games wouldn't be the first to implement it. Also, I'd like to read on a sofa, not to fight or work myself, so it's not a very appeling idea for me. Let someone else have it hard and I'll look at it while having a cup of tea

Toraware no palm really has interesting mechanic,they tried many thing for immersion.I downloaded the game in case I learn japanese one day I am curious about it >_< Actually like you said it could be scary but I would wanna experience it anyway haha

Then fingers crossed someone actually uses their brains for the future of otome hahaha I wonder what kind of things will happen in the future lol but don't think I am optimistic about it..it might be ai assistants not in a way we imagine :(
