What do you think about Code: Realize?

I recently played Code: Realize and I really enjoyed it! Sadly, except for Lupin's route:(.
The game plot was consistent through each route, Fran and Saint Germain are my favorites:DD, their routes made cry just to watch them trying to achieve their goals and their love. Other characters are also great, I can't hate any of them (my boi Delly is the best! I love him so much). I love the protagonist, Cardia, too, she was so capable and trying hard every routes in order to protect herself and her men ヾ(≧▽≦*)o. However, Cardia in Lupin's route was just like a different person, She practiced her skills real hard with other guys, but instead of trying to solve problems on her own like other routes, she just sat there helplessly waiting for Lupin to rescue her, ehhh, who was that woman, she was not my girl D:. I don't hate Lupin tho, he's a good one (more like mr.goody two-shoes, I dislike flawless characters) but sometimes his route just got on my nerves to the point where I couldn't fully enjoy the game (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻.
I guess Code: Realize is my favorite game so far ╰(*°▽°*)╯. And you, what do you think about the game?

I didn't finish the game, I only completed Victor's route, so I can't make a 100% accurate statement, but to be honest, despite the game having a cool plot, it didn't captivate me as much as I thought it would after seeing some spoiler-free reviews and ratings online, and I ended up having to switch games ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I think because I saw so many people online commenting on how incredible and perfect Code;Realize is, I ended up putting excessive expectations on this game, and that was my mistake lol. I still plan to go back and play it, but for now I'll focus on the ones that appeal to me the most.

I haven't finished all the routes in Code:Realize, I have 2 to go, and I always think about going back to it to finish it up, but the common route is so long, and honestly I just didn't like the routes I played a lot. Trying to finish it completely just seems like a slog to me. It also made me realize that I don't really like the Steampunk genre. People are always saying it's great, but I just don't feel it.

yeah, I suppose the game is not for everyone, especially those don't like long common route :D. I have no problems with the common route, maybe because I like the gang's relationship, found family trope, that is. I'm so glad that Code: Realize didn't bore me through the long common route like other games did XD. Anw, thanks for your opinion, people have different genres that strike their liking hehe ✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧

I only player Victor's route and it was back in highschool. Personally, I dont think im its target audience. The common route lowkey felt like a drag to me.

Actually, I'm kind of with the others on this one—the game was just okay for me, definitely not the best. To be honest, I really couldn't stand Saint-Germain! His route just didn't click with me at all. While I liked the steampunk vibes and the art is obviously gorgeous, the common route felt like such a massive slog after a while. Cardia is a unique MC, but even her growth couldn't save the game from feeling like a bit of a drag sometimes. I think I went in with way too much hype from the reviews, and it just didn't live up to the "perfect" masterpiece everyone says it is—I'd much rather spend my time on something that actually keeps me hooked! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's true that many reviews have overhyped this game. I don't think Code: Realize is a perfect game, I even found the characters' problem-solving sometimes quite absurd ┐(´ー`)┌. I still like the plot, the characters, and the overall quality of the game tho. I think the fact that I can enjoy the long, drawn-out common route is the main reason I can stand this game, because almost everyone else hates it XD

I rly enjoyed Code Realize💕

it's common route was long and kinda hard for me to get into, but once I got into the individual routes, it was a blast🤩

My favorite routes were Van and Lupin.
I agree with you that Lupin is too perfect😆so I personally just think he is ok for me as an LI. But I think his route was sooo fun as a truth route, and had good pacing and resolution. It also had me tearing up at the end, which is very important for me🥹and it's something not a lot of otome games do

Van was just the black horse of the game. Appearance wise he is totally not my type, but I just remember being totally on the edge of my seat in his route! Plus Suwabe Juniichi VAing🥵

My favorite LI in Saint Germain 💕He especially had such a strong start in his route!!
Unfortunately I wasn't a huge fan of the direction taken in his route, but his FD story had a lot of great moments and I feel like made up for it!!

I've only finished the first game. Even though it's illustrated by Miko and has a steampunk theme, it still feels boring to me.

I played all three games. I can't say they were my favorites, but I definitely enjoyed them.
Honestly, when I was playing the first one, I didn't even notice the common route cus it was interesting and generally okay thanks to Cardia 😆.
Although the plot, its logic and coherence, are clearly not the series' strongest point. For me, the most important and favorite things are the characters and vibes. The Victorian style, steampunk elements, super-cute characters and their sweet interactions, one of the best MC, gorgeous art - that's why I love it.
I started with Impey, and simply fell in love with his puppy-like nature.
Van, no comment (kuuders are my weak point😂).
Saint-Germain is my love 💖 - arisocratic, tragic, melancholic, graceful, mysterious, porcelain-like, and so beautiful🥹 (and his wonderful kimono CG) (although his plot could have been better:cautious:).
Even Victor turned out to be incredibly cutie (although he's not my type).
I totally agree, Lupin's route is the weakest compared to the others; good as a side character, bad as a LI, completely anticlimactic for a poster boy 🥲.
I was simply amazed at how Cardia developed herself and her skills throughout the common route and then throughout the game. She's best girl. The side characters are also charming, especially the idiot brother and Sherlock (and the fact that he was given a route😍). Oh, and the third part is perfect for the Christmas holidays (and it has very funny beach CGs 🤣). All this created an explosive combo of sweetness

Code realize was THE OTOME game for the Vita (in my opinion at the en localization scene), all of the routes were really enjoyable and I also agree that Lupin's route kind of fell short in the main game, I've only started the FD for the vita as well, I'm having a blast reading all of the scenes there, FD aside, what hooked me the most that drove me too deep in the series was definitely Van helsing and ofc Saint germain my oshi I absolutely loved their routes and made me bawl my eyes out reading them

This was one of the most hyped games that fell flat for me. Maybe I should have lowered my expectations.

Cardia was different than what I expected when I saw people praising how good of an MC she was. She had an interesting backstory, that was the good point, but her personality was not "there". I don't know what the writer intended for her to be, at times she was strong but at times she was so naive and innocent I rolled my eyes.

However Cardia was not the main problem. I dropped the game because of Lupin. There was too much poster boy syndrome going on with him, it was clear the game was pushing him but he was the most bland character out of all the guys (my opinion)

icl, i dropped it when i first played because the common route just feels soooo long… also, not sure why, but the art style just felt off to me :/
Picked it back up again last year and finished it & the fd tho! Saint-G got me through it, his route was good food😋 genuinley cant remember a single part of Lupins main route, even if i thought he was rly cute 😭😭 poor guy

As far as otoge go tho, its pretty… bland? Nothing too crazy imo. its like the toasted bagel of otoge. Its a good standard, since the character range is nice enough and the story is alright. Its a good intro to otome, too. it does just feel like it lacks a certain spice to me tho

I think Saint-G is the most memorable part of it all for me though with his dumbass hair cut and his freaky eyes but its ok hes a cutie anyway.
sry if i offend any c:r diehards with this 🙏 curious to see what others think tho

Actually my second ever otome game that I have ever finished! It was more than 8 years ago so I'm not sure if I do the game right now will make the exact same impression on me or not (lmao), but I do remember it being such a good game! So good that I proceed to learn Japanese to access more otome games without having to wait for localizations :ROFLMAO:. Good times! Especially when back then, localizations were not as reliable + quickly released as it is right now.

I've done quite a number of otome games, and this one (along with Clock Zero) is sitting nicely on my top otome games of all time.

I finished it completely, but I found it a slog at times, plot-wise. I was disappointed with Victor's route despite liking his personality. I liked Saint Germain the best, but I wouldn't recommend the work just because you unfortunately have to read all the good ends of all the other MLIs to even get to Saint Germain's route. ;v;

hmm perhaps you are mistaken a lil. All four routes of the other MLs are playable right from the start, except for Lupin's, his is the only locked route _(:з)∠)_
