What are your all time favorite manga?

I absolutely adore D grey man and 07 ghost! D grey man has slowed down considarably in recent years but every new chapter is beautiful and im glad to see the story progressing after the series went through quite an extensive hiatus! Both of these mangas are some of the earliest ive read so I might be slightly biased but I love when authors create a unique spin on things like religion or use it as an aspect of horror. Outside of these 2 there are a few other mangas I love mainly within BL (Crimson spell, the summer hikaru died, no 6) or shounen (Blue exorcist, chainsaw man, bungo stray dogs) and the most recent manga ive been really excited for is called Kamudo who is by the author who made all of the legend of zelda mangas!

Probably The Summer Hikaru Died! I just love the plot, I really feel like it's developing into something exciting.

I used to love Detective Conan, but the author just drags it on way too much.

probably watamote. it had the most impact on me as an autistic kid with crippling anxiety and zero social awareness back in highschool lol. but otherwise probably csm despite it's unfortunate end </3

Probably Houseki no kuni and Tsuiraku JK to haijin kyoushi, amazing stories with endings that i loved, which is really rare to find 😔

I really like I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day. The emotional writing is just incredibly delicate and nuanced.

Probably Deadman Wonderland. I know its flags but I can't help it, just cannot forget the first time I read it and totally loved it

I dunno about favorite, but one manga that holds a special place in my heart is Yagyuu Hishou: Kaze no Shou (published in English as Samurai Legend and in French as Le livre du vent), written by Kan Furuyama and drawn by Jiro Taniguchi. It's about Yagyu Jubei foiling a plot by the former emperor Go-Mizunoo (referred to as "Go-Minoo" in the manga) to overthrow the Tokugawa shogunate, and his duels with a mysterious young ninja named Yashamaro. It's framed by the tale being told by Katsu Kaishu, a Japanese politician who in 1868 negotiated the peaceful surrender of Edo Castle to the Imperial forces led by Saigo Takamori, who would later go on to lead the disastrous Seinan War in 1877 (which is the loose basis of the Tom Cruise film The Last Samurai). It's a thrilling tale from beginning to end, and is full of surprises (such as the appearance of a young Matsuo Basho).
