🌸 YumeShelf 🌸
A modern, lightning-fast library manager for your massive VN and Doujin game collection.

Hey everyone!

If you hoard Japanese games, your folder probably looks exactly like mine used to—a massive, unorganized pile of random RJ123456 folders, weird mojibake names, and [v1.2.5]_update tags. It gets impossible to find what you want to play.

I got tired of digging through sub-folders to find the .exe, so I built an open-source tool called YumeShelf. It's a minimalist, lightweight game launcher specifically designed for local libraries (Visual Novels, RPGMaker, Wolf RPG, etc.). It scans your folders, cleans up the names, extracts the high-res icons, and presents everything in a clean grid.

✨ Key Features for Hoarders

RJ Code Smart Cleaning & Duplicate Grouping: It uses regex to automatically strip out ugly tags (like [v1.0], _pc) while strictly keeping identifiers like DLsite RJ codes. Have 3 copies/updates of the same game? It neatly groups them into a single 3x card so your grid stays clean.

Deep Scanner & Nested Folders: Keep your games organized in massive sub-folders like YumeShelf/Visual Novels/RJ123456 or YumeShelf/RPGs. YumeShelf will deeply hunt down the executable. You can adjust the "Max Depth" scanner directly in the Settings.

Playtime Tracking & Real-Time Status: It logs the exact time you spend across all sessions and displays a "Playing" indicator when a game is currently running.

Portable & Offline: No installation required. Just drop the portable .exe in your games folder. It runs completely offline using a local JSON cache, so it's snappy and your library data stays strictly private on your machine.

Quality of Life: Built-in Auto Updater, Dark/Light themes, sorting (Newest, Played, A-Z), and an in-app language downloader (EN, VN, JA, ZH are built-in, but you can submit/download JSON translation packs from GitHub).

⚠️ Quick Disclaimer (False Positives)

Since this is an indie open-source tool and isn't signed with an expensive enterprise certificate, Windows SmartScreen or Windows Defender might flag it as a false positive. This is completely normal for unsigned portable Electron apps. If you're paranoid (which is totally fair!), the entire source code is on GitHub for you to inspect or build from scratch.

🛠️ Roadmap & Contributing

I'm currently aiming for bigger goals:
1. Custom Categories/Tags System
2. Save Detector/Manager
(Though building a universal save system for Ren'Py, RPGMaker, and Wolf is going to be incredibly tough).

I'd love your help! Currently, YumeShelf is Windows-only. If any devs here want to contribute Mac/Linux support, tackle the save-detection system, or just add new features, PRs are incredibly welcome!
