its been a while since i last read discussions and screenshots, but yeah the ssum has two dudes openly flirt with each other, check each other's bodies, even sleeping in the same bed. one of their mother also shipped them two. oh and you (the player) cant get mad at them. there are literally no such options. so yeah, if youre sensitive to this stuff, maybe you shouldnt touch this game

that i agree with. unfortunately it seems like not even otome players themselves are aware of there being multiple yuri routes in otome, platonic or not. berubara, ozmafia, mysme (this one is controversial but its still yuri), gekka ryouran romance. but these games are pretty old by now.. and it seems like only indie devs are willing to take a risk. please otmt wake the heck up... you already fumbled both berubara and bakarina......
also, i feel like its natural for otome to be defined as a heterosexual genre. just like galge is defined as heterosexual genre, despite many older titles using yuri scenes as another way to excite the reader. but thats just pure sexual fanservice, which might be considered a little controversial in present times..? but anyway i do think that yuri should not be silenced (?)

And you're right that the gachamen seem more apprehensive of yuri now, but I don't think it's uncommon in eroge or anything. From top of my head there's Nukitashi also the crazy siscon in HenPri though these are 1) not bog standard galge 2) not respectful depictions lmfao so there's still a ton of effort made so that player doesn't feel cucked or emasculated.

wishing uesugi only the best but morpath disbanding will always be heartbreaking to me. club suicide itself felt like a one-of-a-kind, deeply personal work you don't come across often... meiyou easily became one of my all time favorite characters. even if it's not a vn, i hope they'll keep creating.

i understand you, i also find people here are much more respectful and often bring up good points... sometimes i just lurk to absorb everyone's knowledge lol. it's totally understandable you saw all that negativity and chose to not look into it too deeply, we can all benefit from not devoting too much of our time and energy on whatever fight of the day is occurring on twitter. i hope i didn't come across as too harsh!
