To me it's the end everyone dies, only Sasazuka is alive and it's heavily implied (iirc) that he joined Adonis in Collar x Malice... After all these years my heart still hurts so much when imagining his sorry in black screen then the game ends.

All the piofore bad ends are cursed but Orloks bad ending traumatised me as a Dante stan.... I keep gaslighting myself into thinking that it doesnt exist... THERE IS NO WAR IN BA SING SE THERE IS NO WAR IJ BA SING SE THERE IS NO WAR IN

I think the most heartbreaking ending for me until now is Yang's be in Piofiore Fated Memories. Yang loves the female lead, but he doesn't know his feelings. He loves her without realizing it, and then kills her. Afterwards, he felt sad in his heart, but he didn't know why he was sad. Through someone else's unintentional words, he realized that he actually loves the female lead. This ending makes me feel regretful and heartbroken, it's a very bad ending.

The most haunting bad ending for me is the tragic love ending of Minamoto no Yoritomo in Birushana Senki. Genpei Hana Musou. After the devastating final battle, Yoshitsune is severely wounded, blind and deaf. She believes she is worthless and no longer of any use to her older brother. She is in so much pain over being useless to him that she wants to kill herself. Yet even so, Yoritomo refuses to let her die. Even if it means causing her pain, he selfishly wants to keep her by his side.

Maybe not the most haunting bad ending ever, but Robin Hood in Ozmafia really stuck with me. Honestly, not even just the bad ending, that whole route disturbed me from start to finish. I had to take a week long break before I even touched the other routes after that one.

Anything related to cages…..i got traumatized by these yandere ish bad endings where the heroine is trapped in the li's apartment or cage WHATEVER….but one of olympia soiree's bad endings also made me feel uncomfortable…the one where that dude from the orange clan drug us into making out with his BROTHER. like what—

The one where LI drugs the MC and hands her over to his bro so he could
cut MC's head off with a chainsaw to remake LI's dead sister using MC's head and other women's dead body parts as parts for new sis.

MC falls asleep and wakes up to the sound of the chainsaw right before her head is cut off.

This is PioFiore. Henry's short Bad Ending.

There's another one where all LIs die except for Henry, Dante loses his eyes - brutally - Nicola loses his hands and Lily ends up being r*ped by Henry and his bro on a daily basis wishing she would've been dead too.

Orlok's bad ending and his painful short story after is nothing compared to those 2 bad endings. Makes you feel sorry for Dante a lot even if you hated him before.
What was done to Dante there is way more brutal and cruel.
Orlok had it easy. Lily too.

this may seem silly, but there's one that's stuck to me is one o Limbo's bad ending in Bustafellows 1. the game fading to black while teuta hums (sorry, correct me if i'm wrong) chopin.

it's by far not the most haunting in the game perhaps, though it's the one that i just can't forget.

That must be Haruma's bad ending in *Blackish House*. When I played through the part where he stabbed the pregnant female protagonist, my brain just couldn't keep track of the other characters' routes and storylines anymore. Now I basically only remember that bad ending, so my impression of the game has basically become synonymous with that ending.

I can't remember the name of the game but the premise of the story is that you're trapped on an island with a group of people and it's basically a murder mystery type story. In one of the bad endings, the MC ends up getting left behind along with the love interest of that route while everyone else escapes. I remember it hitting me pretty hard since the rest of the group ended up betraying the MC and LI, leaving them stuck on the island with no way home.

Ok, so I did some googling and I found the game! It's Lust in terror manor and the route was Rui Akizuki. Unfortunately, it looks like the game was taken off the App Store and isn't playable anymore 😭. Such a shame cause I wanna get a redemption arc since I stopped playing the game right after getting the bad ending for Rui's route.

i rarely access bad end, but i think by far the most devastated bad end i encounter is netorare kind-ish ed. There's this kind of story of the game, the village where MC lived is isolated from outer world, each people who tries to escape from the village is captured and ended missing or "tortured", and MC itself is a miko that needs to perform a cleansing ritual ceremony iirc every one half year by producing s holy water that each and every resident of the village needs to drink, but the side effect of the ritual is reducing MC lifespan thus MC is needed to find husband ASAP in order to secure next heir replacement. In hoping that the heir would inherited the same power as MC, they're forcing this kind of bizarre customs where MC (of course it's happening to previous generation too) must choosing the husband candidate from her CLOSE RELATIVE albeit her first cousins or even her HALF-BROTHER. the half brother is like nil ado MC little brother, clingy, yandere type. and here's one of the bad ed that i encounter, once the MC choose the second lead LI (her childhood friend and also her cousin) one of the bad ed is once LI and MC get married and having children, the half-brother pleading to MC to giving her last life moment for ONLY both of them spent time together, but after realizing that one of MC children is bearing the same cleansing power, LI propose an idea to get out from the village together to spent the last fleeting moment together to see the outside world, alas the planning is fail because what awaits them at the entrance is none other than the half-brother. Proceed to killing the LI by burning him to crisp using his power, the half brother agonizing the fact that MC is a liar and neglecting their promise. After the screen turns black what awaits the MC is a "punishment" for trying to escape, the punishment is her recollection memories of the LI is erased and she's spending her life being raped by none other than her half-brother until she's pregnant. I pissed off a lot at that ending it's already 2 years since i finished the game but ugh it's still left a bad taste until now.

And there's also BYAKKO bad ed where the LI is death by trying to protect the MC from getting abducted, in the end all the allies is also die too that left MC alone, having no other choice than give in to the enemies, the villain then proceed to giving a bargain condition to revenge because her loved one is died for her sake, while MC is kinda giving up to life due to LI nonexistence yet remembering LI wish for MC to stay alive making her hard to do so (suicide). What happen in the end? MC is filled with wish to revenge, thus make her to accept the bargain condition and joining the yuugekitai enemy squad by using her power to change seppuku sword into a endless bullet riffle called "当千銃"/"tousenjyuu" to killed her entire domain/hometown and later the true opponent who makes the war happened (satcho alliance).

But in reality i think every bad ed left a bitter taste but so far in my experience dared to play through bad end in these 2 years i think by far this was the bad end with BYAKKO imo i think the MC characterization is thrown out to the windows. tbh it's so unlike her, out of character tbh.

Piofiore was always on my list of games with surprising Bad Ends, but I recently finished Virche, and I don't think anything else on my list could top the Bad Ends there. The writers really got carried away with writing bad endings. I even had dreams about Yves and Lucas endings. Guys, beware of the spoilers above.

To me, it was the bad ending in Homicipher, where the MC kills and eats the flesh of Mr Crawling. It wasn't even intentional and she felt so scared afterwards.

The truth route in 《OZMAFIA》:
The protagonist, Fuka, is a spiritual entity created by the witch Dorothy, but she has lost her memories. The other characters are all magically created. The lion, robot, and scarecrow who accompanied her on her journey (Dorothy turned them into humans) are immortal and trapped in a cycle of reincarnation, unable to leave.
Dorothy, having fulfilled her wish to become a witch, grew lonely and wanted to leave her solitary tower. However, the dog and the tower objected, even transforming into humans to try and stop her, triggering the subsequent events.
After completing the game, I was speechless. :frown:

I won't spoil it but Rui's route in the nil admirari fandisk had a super eerie bad ending lol it was so ominous 🥲

I agree on bustafellows too, it has pretty dark themes to begin with so the bad ends on top of it were oof 😞😔 still love mozu though ❤️

Mozu - Bustafellows 2. It's my guilty pleasure, not only does Teuta die because of Mozu, after everyone warned her about how her stalker was, but also how she wants to take her body away so that they don't bury her and take her away.

Limbo - Bustafellows 1 The ending where Teuta is murdered and Limbo ends up killing her murderer before committing suicide is shocking mainly because of her personality and it traumatized me.

Noa Arimura - Blackish House - Bad Endings 3 - 4. It's awful because the bad endings are MANDATORY; you can't continue the route if you don't complete them. One ending has the protagonist forced to kill Noa because he begs her to, saying he can't take it anymore, only to be killed herself by Sakino. The other ending has Sakino killing Noa. They're definitely traumatic, and most of the bad endings in this game are terrible.

I think all of Chou no Doku LIs had some crazy bad endings because the characters themselves were kinda unhinged in one way or another but the one I remember and affected me the most was one of Shiba's bad ending. I got teary while going through this one where MC poisons him to death then she finds his diary where he talks about knowing the poisoning but was so happy at being able to be with her . Though he was my favorite character in the game so maybe I'm biased on all his endings :ROFLMAO:

Hoo boy, where do I begin, where do I begin?

For starters, basically anything by Kinshiiku has fucked up bad endings. Sakutto Panda ~Mousou Koukyoukyoku~ takes the goddamn cake.

Her mentor, the man basically grooming her ever since she lost everything kills Kotatsu's mother right in front of her, rapes her immediately afterwards, gets mad when she washes herself off while crying, rapes her again, kidnaps her, rapes her repeatedly while she is forced to eat bugs and feces to survive, and then there's a horrifying scene where he potentially forces her to miscarry their child and crushes the fetus with his bare hands. The fourth game thankfully reveals that she may have not been pregnant after all, but even still, she might have been because of the fact Kowloon (the mentor) is an unreliable narrator. She eventually manages to stab his eye out while he rapes her, escapes and then gets hit by a car and almost dies. She does live, and the fourth game does end a lot more optimisically for her (she does NOT end up with her mentor after that whole debacle despite him being the primary love interest, thankfully.)

This is an otome game, ladies and gents. It is very good, but holy shit is the Sakupan series not for the faint of heart.

Orlok bad ending got me ??? because Piofiore was my first otome and I wasn't aware of how dark these games could get. Fast forward though I really liked what it did for Dante's character (make him less boring and more interesting lol). But recently I guess Shigehira's bad ending? Theres a lot of objectively worse endings by a mile but I'm hella biased cause I really like him and I just felt so bad for him and mc lol the fact that they were holding on to hope til the very last moment made it all the more sad

Matsurika no Kei Ruwo bad end kien trying to sa Naya just to see ruwo suffering and Naya became a prostitute and told kien told her to have revenge to ruwo for abandoning her it even worse in FD it let me see how she does her job it was torture for me to play it

that one Kaguya bad ending from Taisho X Alice traumatized me because i was following a guide and decided to deviate a bit cause i liked a seemingly harmless choice a bit more not knowing it would have dire consequences :'›

also Hakuoki Edo Blossoms Okita's bad ending which i won't go deep into but it broke my heart very much
