The main thing that makes you interested in listening to audio dramas when searching for them?

When exploring ASMR or Audio Drama with an 18+ rating, what's the first thing that draws you in when you see it?

For me personally, the first thing I look at is the voice actor + the cover audio drama.

The second is a preview of the drama cd or asmr or audio drama that is available to listen to. It is important to know how the audio drama is presented.

And the last on is the acting skills of the voice actors in presenting an atmosphere and nuance that feels real to the listener.

In my opinion, these 3 things have quite a big influence in attracting listeners to buy and listen to the audio dramas that the voice actors perform.

What are some of the things that attract you to listening to audio dramas? I think we're probably have quite a few differences opinion, haha

I look at the illustration of the drama CD (best if no AI and good looking characters, especially older looking men ) and what keywords I like and can understand in Japanese like "yandere" etc. Depending on who my current favorite VA is I also look up their name, to see if they have new works coming. Sometimes I don't look at the VA but I always listen to the samples given on dlsite to determine, if it could be something for me or not

First is always the cover art, if i don't like it i probably wont listen to it, and if its AI im not touching it at all. Second is the synopsis, i usually look for interesting and unique premises instead of "spend time with your boyfriend" type cds, but if the cover art is particularly delicious ill probably listen to it anyway lol. Im not super picky with VAs, but if its one that ive been listening to too much (sorry mitsuhashi! I love your voice but its just that youre everywhere) i might skip it depending on how much the synopsis and cover art entice me

I will look at the voice actor first, it's a must if it's from my fav va any story or genre is following. But sometimes I also interested if the story based on my mood, like what I want to listen today. If I interested in action genre audio drama at a time, I'll maybe look for military, mafia, or yakuzas type of story even when they're from the different va.

I make sure to check out any works that feature my favorite voice actors.
Beyond that, I also look into works that catch my interest based on their cover art or titles.

Listening to the demo is my final check before deciding. I usually lean toward CDs that don't focus too much on spicy tracks

The voice is definitely what draws me in first! Even if the cover is gorgeous I need to enjoy the voice itself so the preview is usually what helps me decide. I prefer a more mature sounding voice & natural delivery makes such a difference for me. I also look at the character's personality and the scenario. I want to be interested in who I'm listening to as well!

For mee, it's 100% the Voice Actor and the character archetype! If the VA can pull off an older, mature character with that smooth, gentle voicee (*^^*)

The cover is the first thing I will see, then I look at the title and VA. If any of the three fit my taste then I will be interested to look further and read the story and listen to the demo.
