Hello my Dear Supporters and Followers!

The time has come to write down a list of what I did so far during january:

- Second New sex event, between Celie and Nicci - Done - 17 images!

- Sister Theresa - Second (more revealing) Outfit!

- Third New sex event, with Sister Theresa - Work in progress - 8 Images done so far

Now I just need to finish a couple more images for the thrid event and I'll be done with drawing for version 0.4.

- after you bring the dick-plant to Michelle, you need to repeat the event only 2 times now;
- kissing lesson with Celie: you'll need to do the full tongue-action-kiss only 2 times instead of four;

If you are up for some suggestions on the core game play loop.

So it breaks down to
1. Corruption Scenes/Quests
2. Lowering Suspicion
3. Recharging Dark Energy
4. All the above can occur either day or night depending on the prey regarding number 1.


Number 1 is fucking great, I love what you have done so far and can't wait to see more :D

So Number 2 for me I found started getting a bit too tedious. It was one part of the game i personally think can benefit a lot being a bit more fun or engaging. Especially that the player ends up doing this majority of the time to get to the h-scenes.

Lore wise in the game it totally makes sense to lower the suspicions on your corruptions schemes and I really like that but does get a bit too much. Example in your change log, I see you lessened the grind on some of the corruptions down to 2 times instead of 4. 2 is a very reasonable number, but I even think I would have been fine with 4 with at least some variation indication the corruption is reaching level up. To me what would have been a grind gripe on doing something 4 times, would have been suspicion lowering tasks for them. To get perform anything 4 times would have required at least two full in game days of just lowering suspicion which is way to interruptive for the H-scenes.

I have a suggestion to a slight change in the suspicion system to make it a bit more engaging. Standard normal tasks like waitress and tutoring lessons should lower your suspicion more than just -2. I would suggest pumping that up to -3. So basically lore wise in the game when time passes and you didn't perform any corruption should be lowering your suspicion. I would suggest that sleeping then as well lowers your suspicion, even if it's just by -1 it at least helps to keep down and lore wise makes sense that time passed with no corrupting occurring. So one aspect that can make lowering suspicion fun is to get rewarded for it. So this game is about corrupting the town to get to h-scenes, basically making everyone accustomed to being lewd. So how about if you reach a higher corruption level with someone, then performing the lower level corruption scenes with them will make the prey more accustomed to that lewd behavior thus lowering the suspicion. Example when reaching level 2 with Ceceil unlocks full tongue kiss which costs Dark Energy and raises suspicion, so how about additionally now I can normal lvl1 kiss her without needing to use DE and it lowers suspicion by lets say -2 and doesn't increase corruption. Then for example if we reach lvl3 and it unlocks the HJ event that raises suspicion, corruption and costs Dark Energy if performed. Then we should have the option to as well perform lower lvl2 full tongue kiss event that lowers suspicion by again suggesting -2 and doesnt cost DE and doesn't increase corruption. Or can just do normal tutoring that standard lowers suspicion by -3. I do understand like with some characters example Michella, the plant evolves so can't really go do a lower level corruption when it was less evolved. And that's totally makes sense, it's more for scenes that should be possible to perform lower ones again, like kissing or sex etc.

I've modded the game with some of these stats and it really drove down the tediousness I was getting with the base suspicion system gameplay loop.

Number 3, i think personally is 100% fine, sleeping completely recharges Dark Energy so don't really have any gripes with that, the only time it felt tedious at all was when I needed to perform it inbetween the lowering suspicion tasks. But as suggested in number 2, if sleeping as well lowers suspicion even if its at least by -1 then should prevent it from feeling tedious. At the start of the game I didn't know how to recharge Dark Energy. After checking the character stats I saw Dark Energy is just basically RPG maker Mana bar, so I clicked immediately that I just need to sleep in 99% of RPG maker games by default to recharge that. (I have ran into some that can only be done through potions and those really sucked). But if I wasn't accustomed to RPG maker games I might have had more of hard time figuring out how to recharge Dark Energy. Suggestion in the tutorial to mention Dark Energy and that it can be lowered by sleeping.

Number 4 I think is great as well, good to have prey options to corrupt for both day and night. Especially if you spent the previous the day/night lowering your suspicion.

All in all great game, will certainly keep an eye out for more. I'll go search for the first chapter to check that out.

First off, I'm glad you liked my game so far and thank you for all of your kind words!

After reading your suggenstion, I've gone and added a hint in the tuturial, stating that you need to rest to recharge darn energy;
I've also added a "-1 suspicion" while sleeping, but that will need some testing to see that it doesn't fuck something up =P
If you want to "re-watch" a scene, you can always do that in the CG-Room ;D
(Maybe I'll actually add the option to do old events at some point tho).

First off, how are ya all doing? Are things getting better over there?

It's not been a month since the last "Monthly Report", but last time I was Really late with it ;P

Anyway, here's what I did so far from the lar report (15th of april):

- Second new event, starring Nicci: 13 images done so far, still need to do a couple more before it's finished;

- Set up a new mini-game, a stealth run; because of certain..."circumstances", you'll need to walk through Veisen while avoiding being seen by other people.

Did you have a good summer vacation (considering the global situation of course...)?

Here's a little list of what I did so far from the release of version 0.5:

- Restyled flowers' shop, which will show up after Michella is fully corrupted.

- Two New standing pictures for Michella, one wearing her old outfit, but with bigger breasts, and another one with a new outfit, better fitting her succubus' form.

- First new sexual event, between Sister Nicci and Celie, is now done, for a total of 45 images (ok, maybe I overdid it a little with this one -.-')

To the Future, and beyond!


Hello Folks!

As I said in my previous post, there's a BIG change incoming.

Please, take 1-2 minutes of your time to read this, because it's important.

I don't know if you noticed, but between the end of january and the start of february, I was hit by another Massive drop in subscriptions.

I can understand people leaving for whatever reason, like losing interest in the game, or being unhappy about something, even tho the most "popular" choice is the financial issue, which is Totally understandable, especially with all the shit that's going on right now, but not getting ANY new subscription to compensate, Ever, well, that's getting my morale and motivation under the bridge right now.

Even after releasing the new update I barely got a little increase, which disappeared by the end of the month.

So after crying in a corn...ehm..."after deciding on what to do next" I went and asked other fellow devs for some advice, and, well, almost all of them said that I should run away as far as I can from rpg maker vx ace, because it's freaking old, and either upgrade to rpg maker MV, or drop the engine altogether and move to Ren'Py.

Now, I have Zero experience in coding with Ren'Py, and starting from scratch at this point won't be ideal in my opinion, but, on the other hand, I already own a copy of rpg Maker MV...

So, what are the advantages of using MV instead of VX Ace?



- For starters, I can use wharever resolution I want!

With Vx Ace I was bound with a 4:3 aspect ratio, and I had to use an external script to make the window a tiny bit larger too, while with MV there is a built-in plugin to customize the size of the window to whatever I want.



- MULTIPLATFORM!

Yep, that's right! With MV I can finally import my games to other system, like ANDROID! Mac and Linux. And that's something impossible to do with Vx ace.



So, why didn't I move sooner to MV?

Because right now, as you know, I'm making every sprite to looks like it's respective character, and I also make sex sprites to use during events, and that's something I can't do with MV, since it had those Chibi sprites, with Ultra big heads; but thankfully I was given a couple of workaround to still use VX Ace sprites on the new version as well.

The other reason was the fear to not being able to find all the needed plugins, or not being able to customize them as I wanted, since they work in a different way from VX Ace scripts.

It obviously won't be an immediate transaction, since I need to rebuild All the maps, and learn how to use the new plugins, while Stll drawing images for version 0.7; but I've already started stockpiling useful plugins and tilesets to use and I've already built a couple of maps buring the past week, so I won't start from Zero ^.-

I hope you'll understand that this is something that I Really need to do in order to continue, hoping that it will get me to a better situation.

Succubus Tales - Chapter 2: The Relic -- V 0.7 Release! - MV Edition!

It's HERE!
Version 0.7 on MV is Finally HERE! (for Uncommon Tier (5$) and above !)

The first and Most important change:

- The game has been ported from "RPG Maker VX Ace" to "RPG Maker MV"!
- So, MV HAS an option to port games for Android, but it doesn't really work...yeah... (-.-)'
Damn you Kadokawa!
But luckily I found an Ultra-detailed guide on how to do it properly, using Android Studio.
I wanted to port the game for Mac too, but after checking rpgmaker forum, it seems like the only way to do it is to make the game directly from a Mac, because Windows doesn't really know how to handle mac's files;
so for obvious reason, I just can't do it, sorry.
- So the game is now available for Both Windows and Android!

Now to the game!

- The first noticeable change is the aspect size! Vx Ace run on a 4/3 aspect ratio, but here I opted for a 16/9, increasing the size to 1280x720!

- Reworked the main menu screen, it's now Animated!

- I've remade and visually improved a total of 48 maps!
I've tried to make the general view more..."appealing", by creating better buildings, adding a couple of details here and there and such;
Here are some screen:

- I've recoded ingame All the previous events, that's around 40 events + variation!
I had to edit some of the old images to better fit the new window's size.

- For the characters' sprites, for most of them, I've just scaled them up (MV uses a different size ratio than Vx Ace), but where the result wasn't much good, I've remade them directly in MV.

New Events:

- First new event - with Mia, the barmaid (and Risa) - 18 images!

- Second new event - with Emily and Nicci, it's a repeatable event (After emily is fully corrupted) - 25 images!

- Third new event - with Juliette, the innkeeper - 22 images!

- Kristy - New outfit!

GREAT NEWS, Everyone!
Version 0.9 is Ready!

New Events:
- Celie showing off her third outfit! (1 image).

- Celie showing off her bikini! (1 image).

- Harriet showing off her bikini! (1 image).

- First new event - between Celie and Harriet! (7 image).

- Second new event - starring Mia! (17 images) .

- Third new event - between Risa and Penelope! (17 images).

- I've also added two mini events (non-sexual) at the lake.


New Map:

- Lake map

- Lake's cottage


Misc:
- New sprite set for Celie in her bikini.

- New sprite set for Harriet in her bikini.

- New sprite sets for every new events.

- Added an option to sleep until evening at Emily's house, available once she's fully corrupted.
(this will help you later on, when the stuff to do during the day will become fewer and fewer.

- Changed Penelope's sprite when she starts using her second dress, to better fit her new appearence.

- Added a more appropriate background music when you find Emily in the meadow and she reveal her..."condition".
(I actually did a couple of these minor improvements, here and there).

I've been reported a few bugs on discord and here, so I've fixed them:
- doing Harriet event Before getting the "magic stone" for Sister Theresa would end up fucking the game ---> Fixed

- Talking to Celie AFTER Harriet event would lock Her and Nicci's avatar on screen even after the conversation ---> Fixed
