Stuff that breaks immersion

Mostly for my self-inserter people, is there details or tropes in an otome that takes you out of the story and breaks the fantasy of being there or even makes it hard to really stay in character?

For example for me its the height of the MC, im considered tall for a woman so then when i get to a cg where the LI has to bend over to reach the MC to kiss her, hug her or whatever that completely takes me back to reality lol like that man is barely an inch taller than me I CAN EASILY LOOK AT HIM EYE TO EYE SO WHY IS HE BREAKING HIS BACK.
I really want to see more non-short MCs 😭

For me, one of the biggest immersion breakers is when the MC suddenly acts completely out of character just because the plot needs a romantic moment (╥﹏╥)

Like if she's been confident and sarcastic the whole game, but the second the LI gets close she suddenly can't form a sentence and is blushing at literally everything… girl WHERE did your personality go x)

Also when the MC is ridiculously oblivious. The LI could practically confess, write her name in the sky, and stare at her for 10 minutes straight, and she'll still be like "I wonder if he sees me as a friend…?" (; ̄Д ̄)

I want my heroine to actually feel like a person, not a collection of convenient romance tropes °

It doesn't necessarily break my immersion while I'm playing, but it does stand out if a specific CG—whether it's a kiss, a hug, or some other interaction—is just "so-so." I recently finished Temirana, for instance, and many of the CGs really clashed with the background art; it seemed like the artist put effort into the prologue, but then their enthusiasm just fizzled out as they worked on the character routes. The hugging CGs in Temirana are pretty mediocre. The only thing that saved the game for me—keeping it from being a total disaster—was the secret route, though even that left me questioning things at times.

when its something too relatable XD. I just stop to think for a minute and my immersion is broken lol

SUPER AGREE I'm in the same boat lol I just imagine everyone is just a giant. And the world is also bigger... We need more avatars who aren't uwu the tiniest thing ever

Another thing that breaks the immersion is descriptions of the avatar's looks. Yes artist we saw your design has idk blonde hair we know, what does it add to the story to keep bringing it up? why can't you write a love story without relying so much on repeating SO CUTE SO CUTE SO CUTE SO SMALL SO SMALL SO (hyperspecific physical trait)? Skill issue fr.

But the biggest offender... The biggest offender is inconsistency.... Don't make me think something and then force me to do the opposite... Make my thought process make sense with the setting! It's ok if you want to highlight the good traits of our love interests, but don't make me stupid?? Give me some common sense?? Make my actions make sense?? Please??
