夜を彩る3ピースギターロックバンド『カナタ』、2015年9月から1年2ヶ月ぶりのリリースは初のワンコイン・シングル。"二度と会えなくなってしまった人を想って"というテーマをストレートなロックバラード調に書きあげられた表題曲「ひかり」、エフェクトを多用したギターサウンドと繰り返すフレーズで雨の風景を表現した楽曲「namida」の2曲を収録。
