I have some games!
I just played it recently and have yet to finish all routes but it is amazing! The art is beautiful and there is a LOT of it, I cannot even imagine the amount of work the author had to do. The writing is full of tension as you unravel the mystery by playing each route and Sylas is both endearing and extremely dangerous.
Even though yandere characters are not my cup of tea, I really like the authors take of the trope, it feels really realistic and grounded.
This one is just so funny while still maintaining a sense of danger, the art style reminds me of old comic books, which I found endearing. The characters are quite charismatic and can stand on their own without problem, my favorite is the vampire.
I laughed out loud with this one a lot.
The first time I played it, it felt like I was underwater. You're thrown to the game with no explanation which only makes trying to make sense of all much more intriguing and more rewarding when you connect all the dots. The art is not polished, but I think it adds to the charm of feeling like in a fever dream, it truly is so unique and extremely fitting for the story. The characters, even the side characters, are so complex that you don't even finish understanding them, which makes sense when knowing that the intention of the VN was to be more of a test project for the Interactive Fiction version, I like how real they feel. The story changes completely depending on the route you chose, but it can sometimes feel confusing at times, that is my only complain, but maybe it is because English is not my first language.
This game is a revamped version of
The Immortal Kingdom, which even though it will remain unfinished, I highly recommend to try. This new version truly makes the game feel one of a kind. The writing is exceptional, the premise is full of intrigue and leaves you with many questions you can't help but theorize about; the characters (although you do not see much of them in this version yet) are charming and full of secrets; and the art is beautiful, it makes you feel inside of a story book, which pairs great with the magical elements of the story and this game has the prettiest UI I've ever seen! The sained glass elements helps elevate the design.
I can't wait for the full game.
And I want to give a special shoutout to
PDRRook, I love how dark and unique her art style and worldbuilding is, I just love anything she creates.
I might do one for interactive fiction when I have more time.
