I picked selfinsert + voice off in the poll. But I'm not fully selfinserting, I always have my own mc/oc I like to play as (a little different than me but always the same and I usually choose between 2 names for her) so I usually turn off the voice (I have weird and sensitive hearing so some voices are unpleasant or just annoying) + portraits If there is one and has option to be hidden (especially when I don't like the design for it ) and always change the name If it's possible.

I turn off the audio because the sound distracts me—the discrepancy between what I hear and my ideal image makes it hard to concentrate.

I like to project myself into otome games, but if the protagonist's personality is too strong, I'll play as a resigned person or a fictional friend. When I project myself, I use the protagonist's voice function, and when I don't, I play with it turned off. I prioritize creating an environment that makes it easy to get into the game's world, so it varies depending on the game, but if I have to choose one or the other, I think it's easier to play with the voice off.

I always turn off the mc's voice and even hide their portrait if possible. Putting aside how cute the mc might be, as someone who self-inserts, it feels like, "Who is that girl?" lol. So the sad downside is that I can't play games that don't have a name-changing feature.
