The latest version of the main game is indeed 1.2 so maybe you can try yourself and see if it's work?

The file from MelonCakey was indeed uploaded before the update, but this game is a special case. The developer themselves put a link inside the files. You'll see it if you download, it's possible to get the updated version from there.
