Don't know if you downloaded it from the comment but I just did, ran it through virustotal and it seems safe, no detections :)

I can't get the game to launch to matter what I do. How did you get it to launch after installation? Are you running windows 10 or 11? I don't want to use a virtual machine to launch the game since setting up an xp machine in 2026 is a pain in the ass to get all the drivers working. I've tried everything I can think of and the game won't launch. I'm running on windows 10. The game for me tries to launch but then closes. So i am assuming something is causing it to crash. I tried searching for a digital release of this game on dmm and dlsite and I couldn't find one. ANd all the uploads are rips of the physical disk versions from 2003.

Most of the time it's easy to run older games on linux through steam or lutris using proton. But there are just those few games that I can't seem to run on either linux or on windows 10. This is one of those cases with an older title. The other case I had an issue with was Hadaka Apron Gakuen. I had to go buy the win 7 version off of DL site but DL site uses a buddy client sever to be able to launch the game on windows 10. So I'm kinda stuck on windows for that game. Using Hadaka Apron Gakuen on Linux might work if i had the old XP version though that was one of the games that I never got access to the DLC material as when the original studio for the game was closing down they offered a limited time to get the web based dlc to be added locally and could be used ty Buddy the new maker htat bought the game out. But the window was really short so I never got the chance. *Shrug* Hadaka Apron Gaukuen with the extra DLC sceanrios is lost media since it had mutliple extra scenarios from DLC but none of it is avaiable anymore on the internet. Including a harem route. Too bad I can't get Itsuka Furu Yuki to work.

I'm in the exact same situation with Windows 10. Most likely, the game won't launch without a VM. I, too, hesitated for a long time before installing a virtual XР. But in the end, it turned out to be not difficult at all (literally just 2–3 hours spent learning the nuances of VirtualBox, text capturing in VNs for XP, and so on). And there were no issues with drivers (at least for me).
All in all, the question boils down to this: will your desire to play the VN outweigh your reluctance to mess around with setting up a virtual machine?
