This will come off as harsh, but I think if someone does get a working mod it's better to not share it.
iirc years ago this forum was the first to crack their PC games. I can't remember who I heard it from but Cheritz was definitely not happy and they did try to get the pirated copies taken down.
Now you'd think that's normal for devs to be angry, but when it comes to file protection you wouldn't be able to find any small dev like Cheritz who's absolutely anal about DRM.
Their PC games have been cracked, they were released roughly 15 years ago already but to this very day the devs still haven't removed the internet check that pings their server at intervals in the games.
If you go to the Steam community forums for those two games, you'll see actual customers complaining about connection issues and such. That's the level of insanity they're in.
They also had a new PC game planned back then, but I believe piracy (among many other factors) led them to pivot completely to the online mobile games market.
Anyone reading this might go "ok but how does that relate to Mystic Messenger" well obviously, their obsession with protection carries over to their mobile games. The modder on the other site already said it, Cheritz often update their security and it's a pain if they reverse engineer the mod and patch all the loopholes.
For those who don't know, MM just had a ban wave around 3 months ago. You can find several posts about it on Reddit. Many legit accounts were caught up in it because the devs were...suspicious of users who saved up too many hourglasses

Literally maximum paranoia.
If the mod gets spread publicly it won't last long, and the accounts that used it will probably suffer the same fate.
It wouldn't be a big issue if we didn't have some rats on anime-sharing who keep reporting all the links. You can bet they'd be running to snitch to Cheritz at super sonic speed if the mod gets leaked.
(to avoid any assumptions, I don't have the mod, really, and if I have to pay a pirate site *checks notes* €20.00 every time for an update, it might be better to just pay for the in-app purchases and get hourglasses the legit way, but considering how old the game is and Cheritz's overall attitude, giving them money is still not worth it...)
The alternative is to mass mail Cheritz to stop milking MM and put the game on one-time-purchase archive mode. They haven't updated anything in years but I still see people begging and hoping for new content... The game is on life support atp
