physical manga or online manga?

I love the convenience of online reading but if I'm buying a personal copy I would rather get the physical instead of the digital because I can have full ownership over it. I'm not a fan of the subscription model many manga publishers use because series can be removed whenever.

This generally varies depending on the situation. I think online comics are more suitable for unfinished and ongoing comics, which can be updated faster and easier to read.

I like to buy physical comics for collection. And it is a completed manga that will not be updated in content. The cover of the physical comic packaging is very exquisite, and there are also commemorative items and other things, which will be very good for collection!

Most of the time, I read more online comics. When I come across physical comics that I really like, I will buy and collect them！

Hi! I used to buy and save physical books, but I don't have any space for them anymore, so now I mostly buy things online. I occasionally buy and display books of my absolute favorites though.

Same with others I mostly read online for convenience and also quality. I can see the art in high definition on my screen and just admire its beauty. Sometimes, with physical the side of the page gets cut because of binding. Plus, online gives me the freedom to zoom in and take screenshots of favorite moments.

I buy physical copy of books by authors I truly love.
For things I just want to try out or simply read, I buy them online since there are often sales.

I buy almost everything digitally!
The only time I buy a physical copy is when the digital version won't be available for another month or so.
The biggest reason is that digital books don't take up any space.
I also love being able to zoom in and look at any details I'm interested in.

I find the paper manga I've always been used to far easier to read! However, the issue of storage is simply unavoidable
Lately, perhaps due to sales trends, paper manga often come with bonus items, so I end up buying those instead. And then, I run out of storage space all over again—it's a never-ending cycle.

I used to collect manga, and my collection was pretty massive. But now, many years later, I mainly read manga online/digitally, and about 80% of my physical manga has either been sold or given away. I actually prefer digital over physical now, to be honest; although I still enjoy the tactile experience of having an actual book in my hands, they just take up too much space and I try to avoid clutter. Plus, with a huge collection, I remember it being quite challenging for me to keep them all in good shape considering the tropical climate and high humidity where I live. The eventual yellowing of some of my older manga also made me sad even though I knew it was inevitable.

So yeah, it's mainly online/digital for me now. Not just for manga, but just books in general. Much more convenient, too, as I can read on the go e.g. while commuting or having my lunch break without a physical book taking up space in my bag.

These days, digital... with Japanese, only digital because importing has gotten insane.. well there is the nice benefit that if I start a new series and really wanna know what happens next, I can just grab the next volume if it's released.. lol..but yeah I have hundreds of physicals but they're all in storage bins anyway now ever since hurricane flooding destroyed my old shelving. :[

With the widespread adoption of digital versions, I think physical manga books have come to serve as collectibles, just like music CDs.
