Hey Team,

Blackflag here, Otome enjoyer and moderator (for now?) of the section.

As we have quite a large community of the best people I was wanting to promote a japanese learning server! This server is designed to help you learn Japanese gradually through immersion, starting with the basics of:

• Katakana and Hiragana
• Grammar
• Vocabulary
• Native Content Immersion

Teaching you as you read, grammar, vocabulary and nuances of the language through exposure.

In the server you will be able to:

• Log your listening, reading and watched hours of japanese content (Anime, Visual Novels, Drama CDs etc)
• Engage in monthly or bi monthly challenges to read or immerse yourself more
• Practice Japanese with other Otome enjoyers
• Select your level of confidence with Japanese.
• Chat with others who enjoy content in english or japanese! You can create designated forums to discuss games you enjoy!

Set up immersion based learning tools with a slightly more beginner friendly guide, covrs things for emulators, texthooking, anki set up, LAPIS, etc.

ANKI DECKS

• Kaishi 1.5k https://github.com/donkuri/Kaishi/releases

covers the most common 1500 words, phrases and kanji. It is good to delete the ones you are very confident in but this deck is quite robust and has memorable pictures and sentence practice. It has Audio on one side.

• Jiten Decks

https://jiten.moe/ Jiten decks are decks created from logging games, for popular games, movies, anime etc. You can search and create an anki deck based on specific vocabulary for the content you are playing. New decks are added frequently. Integrates with other learning tools.

Pitch Accent, Dictionary on hover over, easy to turn on and off. Cannot be used with Anki integration afaik but good for just casually browsing websites if you are lazy.

• Game Sentence Miner

https://github.com/bpwhelan/GameSentenceMiner They have an active discord, this is an all in one tool to use with Anki or whatever you like, it will take screenshots, record audio or use OCR of your choice. A bit clunky at times for people with limited PC experience (like me)

• Meikopop OCR

https://github.com/rtr46/meikipop An OCR Dictionary for Japanese learning. Helpful and lightweight, Has no ANKI integration.
