Otome or BL which is better

I think we shouldn't compare
Both have two different audiences
Bl is BL
And Otome is Otome

But I played some bl before I like that they made well not just for quick money
 
Prefer BL. But it is wrong to have diversity like 50:50 between male and female.
Still, when it comes to all orientations, they will be one man to many women in game. And the man isn't manly at all.
So, BL is my first choice but anything if story is good enough.

It really depends on story for me. I tend to prefer Otome, but story and good characters are everything for me.

I would not say anything is inherently "better" than the other, but, I do prefer otome games, or games that let me play as a female MC. I still read/play BL because I appreciate the dark and intense plot they have. It depends on my mood at that time to pick what to play

I enjoy both, so it's very difficult to choose.Otome allows you to become the main character, while BL allows you to watch the romance unfold. They're both better and I love them both because they have different perspectives.

I like both, though I noticed that I'm slowly starting to lose interest in BL as I grow older. I still casually look and consume some BL content once in a while, but I'm no longer seeking out BL stuff as much now.

As for otome, I keep up with it more frequently. I think I tend to gravitate towards otome now that I'm older because there are more resources for otome content than BL content nowadays.
 
When it comes to manga and manhwa it definitely goes to yaoi/BL either for the storytelling or mature stories ° (i mean i feel like shoujo/josei need to be a little more daring and quit with the repetetive formulas) ° As for the visual novels i prefer my otome games * console ones ^^
 
I love both but I adore dark, gritty, taboo stories which otomes that are translated into English rarely are. It's mostly BL that is translated that dive into those topics. So otomes for happier stories and BL for that dark itch haha.
 
I think I prefer BL over otome but the few otome that I've played have been wonderful! I almost hate to say that I prefer one over the other T_T
 
I like both genres equally www, I usually rotate the two genres so I don't get burnt out with either one
 
A topic may lead the war lol. I prefered otome games but not really hate BL games, just not interseted in it.
 
i think it's not "which is better?", it's "which is your thing?" :unsure:
mine is definitely otome
