I would also like to play The Exorcism of Maria, but unfortunately it's in japanese. Do you guys know japanese so well that you are able to understand everything?

you'll learn jap in time if you play alot of jap games and watch anime ^^

you can also play using a translator like AGTH or VNR if you don't know japanese, but it's not guaranteed that you'd understand everything since it's only a machine translation, I play using them and I'm getting by I guess? :)

That's the first time I heard about using a translation tool to play japanese games. I feel so dumb. I have no ideea how to do these things and where to get those tools. Do I need to buy them? Is there a guide anywhere? I would be really grateful if someone could help me.

That's the first time I heard about using a translation tool to play japanese games. I feel so dumb.
The tools that are usually used are ITH (interactive text hooker) , Aght , Aggregator Translator, Atlas (this one you'd have to pay for though, but don't really need it, Atlas is just a useful tool)
And another well put tool all together is "Visual Novel Reader"

Definitely, agree that if you play enough Japanese games and watch Japanese anime or TV shows you'll start learning the language. And I can't imagine playing Otome games in English. :D
