Otome CD: SE on or SE off?

I always have SFX turned on!
Without any sound effects, it feels so empty and lonely 😞 The sound effects in recent works are so realistic, too! ✨ Older works sometimes had SFX that were way too loud or sounded a little unnatural, but honestly, that was kind of fun in its own way too 😂

I usually keep SE on! I feel like the music and sound effects make the experience more immersive. But if the sound effects are weird or make me feel too embarrassed, I might turn them off.

keeping the sound effects (SE) on by default, but sometimes I turn them off when I just want to listen to the VA's performance.

I almost always listen with SE on because it adds so much to the overall atmosphere and really helps with the immersion. Hearing the background ambiance, rustling clothes, or footsteps makes it feel like I'm actually right there in the scene. However, I completely agree that bad audio mixing can instantly ruin the mood. If the sound effects are way too loud, or if the kissing and ambient noises sound overly exaggerated and unnatural, it completely takes me out of the zone. But as long as the production quality is decent and the SE is balanced perfectly with the voice acting, having it on is definitely my preferred way to listen!

Always SE on! Sometimes this kind of sound effect? That kind of thing happens sometimes, but I listen to the sound. When I turn off the sound, it feels like something is missing

Always with SE on, even if they're bad - just a voice in a silent room feels off to me. SE helps me follow along.
