Opinions on spoilers

If it's to complete all the routes, I'd look up a guide, and in that case, spoilers are fine. But if I'm just casually browsing posts on a normal day and unexpectedly see someone sharing unreleased game CGs with spoiler-filled titles, I'd feel unhappy and hope I could forget it later.

I mostly go blind but if I'm interested or curious about x LI/route, I'll look up actively for spoilers.

I'm kind of in the middle. There are times when I'll get curious and look up something, especially if I'm unsure whether I want to keep watching or reading. Other times I'll accidentally see a spoiler and just try to forget it. Funny enough, that actually works sometimes. By the time I get to that part of the story, I've completely forgotten the detail, so I still get to experience it naturally.

I also think context matters. A spoiler without the emotional buildup often doesn't have much impact. Knowing that something happens isn't the same as seeing why it happens or how the characters get there. The journey is usually what makes those moments memorable.

At the end of the day, I think it's just about respecting other people's preferences. If someone wants to stay completely spoiler-free, that's easy enough to respect. If someone doesn't mind spoilers, that's fine too. Everyone enjoys stories a little differently.

If you spoil a game to me, consider yourself on thin ice. ;-;

I will destroy all you hold dear

Suffice to say, I don't like it.

I have watched and finished 2 series in the past week, one of them being a psychological thriller and the other a sci fi suspense. The former was an popular old IP from years ago I knew all the major spoilers but never actually watched it, I knew what would become of the protagonist and the final episode, I Knew of a major spoiler mid series and I knew 60% of the characters from memory, but I forgot all the details, some scenes were embossed in my mind and I remember them vividly, but watching the series now felt really amazing with every episode I felt this was the greatest thing I've ever watched, nothing robbed the enjoyment for me.

The Latter was a new series for me, I went not only without spoilers but I knew nothing of it aside from the title. it was an okay watch it managed to get me curious through and through, the ending was heart warming, I preferred the former series because regardless of spoilers it had an amazing plot and terrific storytelling.

I absolutely love spoilers! I always look for spoilers for titles that catch my interest, and if I like what I find, I end up consuming the work much faster.

I'm an anxious and curious person, so knowing what's going to happen (without the distress of waiting or uncertainty about the outcome) makes me happy and satisfied. Spoilers motivate me to start, continue, and finish whatever I'm consuming, whether it's a game, a series, a book, a manga, or anything else...

I hate spoilers. They can fully take away the emotional impact of important scenes. Like something shocking and tragic is about to be revealed in an otome game, but you won't be shocked because someone already spoiled it for you...
Spoilers are only fine if you specifically want to be spoiled... It's really just about consent I guess.

I don't mind spoilers abt the lis or like which route is the important one and else..but when it touches to a serious spoil in the LORE of the game i gen can't cuz i just no longer wanna play the game- i already got spoiled the end or the revelations…i also hate some cgs spoil- idm the basic ones but like the lovely dovely moments and all meh- cuz i mean we dont even have much cgs in an otome game so if i cant even enjoy seeing them in game with the mood and all why should i spend 50bucks..

I'm the type who doesn't care at all, because I'm the kind of person who will rewatch a show even if I already know the plot… Spoilers might actually make me more interested in the story. I love sharing what makes the plot so great, and I love it when others share their thoughts with me.

i'm in no spoilers team. i can make an exception for maybe CGs to see art style, but only for early-game CGs that doesn't reveal too much. for story and charachters spoilers are big no-no

I don't really mind being spoiled—in fact, sometimes I even appreciate it.
For example, when there are small, easy-to-miss choices that lead to extra dialogue I want to see, I would never notice them on my own.

I mostly try to avoid spoilers, but sometimes, if a route or plot is uninteresting to me, I may have a look at spoilers, and if I find them interesting, it can make me continue. But if not, I usually just move on.

Ngl, I really can't stand spoilers, especially in mystery games. Having the culprit revealed to you out of nowhere just takes away most of the experience. And otome games are no exception,if you jump straight into the truth route, the whole "normal daily life" buildup before that just feels so boring, right?
So I guess it really depends on what type of game it is.

I don't like spoiler, especially if it was a plottwist/big revelation kind of spoiler, it ruined the experience. i used a guide when i play, but for me it didn't really spoil the story, but the CG art is a pretty big spoiler in my opinion 😂 so when googling, i carefully search what i need so i won't be spoiled.

I don't like them in general, but if I already decide to use a guide, I can't care less if I see some plottwists revealed.

Spoilers aren't really that big of a deal to me. I will still read it if Im interested in the story. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ

I don't like being spoiled, so I avoid player-shared content as much as possible before starting a game. In my opinion, knowing the story in advance ruins the emotional ups and downs. It can also bias my views on the characters. That's why I generally don't read any reviews or discussions before completing my first playthrough—unless my curiosity about the plot development gets too overwhelming while I'm playing.

I actually like knowing what I'm getting myself into lol.
Things like whether the game or route is worth it, or if there are specific tropes I like that show up later on. If I end up finding out about those things beforehand, I usually get more excited to play rather than annoyed that I got spoiled.

I prefer no spoilers but sometimes i get impatient spoil myself on purpose or if its a LI i dont really like and just want to know what happened in the route so i can get the lore without reading his whole ep, especially if the LI i want is behind the true route or locked etc

I love spoilers to a certain degree. Not HUGE spoilers, I think that ruins the fun, maybe small spoilers that help me in a way? Sorta like preparing me for a certain event so I get to brace myself.
