As long as the voice and acting fit the character, I don't think the voice actor's gender matters😊

As long as the voice acting is good, I don't mind at all! In fact, there are quite a few male characters voiced by women that I really like!

It's not my reference, but with characters like Iochi from Charade Maniacs works for me because it leaves me thinking about how they identify. But, if story directly tell me it's a man but they use a female seiyuu, I will have doubts during the route and I wouldn't be able to enjoy it, I would even think "a male seiyuu would have been better" with non LI characters such as children or non-binary characters that have female voice actors it's okay for me (a non binary voiced by a male seiyuu would be interesting too though it doesn't happen often) but having a LI... it's a no for me ;;;

I grew up in an era where a lot of female seiyuu voiced male characters. From Son Goku's seiyuu to Alan Walker in D. Gray Man, Ryouma in Prince of Tennis and Fuji Shunsuke, then Toushirou Hitsugaya, and Deflot from Mars Red. All the female seiyuu did such a stellar job at voicing these cool prominent characters. I don't mind them as much. I do agree on the rated otoge game part though, please use a male seiyuu.

I have similar views as the author. I don't mind having female voice actors, but I still prefer male voice actors. Female seiyuu can see if the character she voiced matches her voice.

As long as the voice suits the character, I don't mind at all.
I usually choose games based on the story and art style, so I feel that the voice actor's performance and how well they fit the character are more important to me than their gender.

I don't mind, as long as they're experienced voice actresses with a proven track record. If they can portray male characters convincingly, I can focus on the characters themselves without really thinking about who's voicing them.

I don't care whether a voice actor is male or female, as long as the voice fits the character. In fact, I actually prefer female voice actors for children's roles because I think they excel at delivering clear and refreshing voices.

i don't mind it at all! 🥹 as long as the voice fits the character and the performance is convincing, i'm all for it. a talented seiyuu can make me fall for any character, regardless of gender 👀💕

Same here! Blind to the seiyuu's gender as long as the performance is top-tier. But R-18? Yeah, male seiyuu only makes sense.

As long as the voice suits the character, I don't see a problem with it! It's not an otome game, but Okkotsu Yuta from Jujutsu Kaisen is voiced by a female VA, and I honestly couldn't tell at all just by listening. I was genuinely surprised when I found out later!

That said, while I think what matters most is how well the voice fits the character, I do agree with some of the other comments that a male VA might be preferable for R18 titles.

I personally don't see why it should be an issue at all. As long as their work is good and fits the character.
