The game is asking you to write the numbers displayed in hiragana at the end. Please refer to this:

The numbers will be asked according to 'On reading' columm on the above link, while your answer will be written as in 'Character' one.

So, as an example, if asks you いちいちさんきゅう (1, 1, 3, 9)
you type 一一三九.

Each time you write wrong, the number will change. The game only does that the very first time and will not ask again after.
