Hi, i checked and the game work fine to me. If your rar file corrupted you can try repair it from Winrar menu: Tools => Repair archive.

i tried followint the exact same steps, but i still get a message from rpgmaker (game) that the file is corrupted.

(avast has the file excluded from any scanlist)

Pls post a screenshot, i could take a look :).

Just in case if you still not try this yet:
1. Change your system locale to Japanese
2. Delete the game (keep the download rar file)
3. Unrar and play :3

my system is always in japanese locale. (even tried changing it and back, still the same message)
even language settings are in japanese (before unrar and booting the game)

and it cannot be my laptop's specs (asus n76VZ with 16gb of ram and running win10 on a ssd, (gamess are stored on the HDD))
even tried running it in a VM, (win7, still same message)


still do not know what is the issue.

all other rar''ed games (except a very select few, from another source) are working normally.

hmm...the folder location turn "?????" instead of japanese letters. Apparently both VX and VX Ace have an issue with folder names in languages that are not the same as the system default name, pls try delete all the Japanese letters on your game folders (（製品版）and ～失われし神秘～).

yeah noticed, its working now
which is odd
since other VX/VX ACE games in japanese folders do not have this issue.
