My download of a .7z file won't finish downloading despite being at 100%

Hello, I am fairly new on this site, and I was hoping to find some help with my .7z files and .rar. It's a little embarrassing to say, but I don't really understand why these two types of files won't work for me. the .rar files go into adobe audition and my .7z file won't fully download. Such as it is at 100% downloaded but won't show up in my files. If someone could explain why I would greatly appreciate it, but if not then no worries!

Hey, .rar and .7z files are compressed archive files that you would normally open and extract with 7zip or Winrar.
Adobe Audition is not the correct program for those. Maybe it somehow got associated with .rar files, so it now tries to open them automatically when the download finishes or you click on them? If so, installing 7zip or Winrar should fix that.

As for .7z files not fully downloading/not showing up in your files I am not really sure. If they are fully downloaded it could be that the file is saved somewhere other than where you expect.
With Firefox you can right-click files you downloaded in your download history and then click on "show in folder" to open the folder where the file is saved. I believe most browsers have this kind of functionality.
