日本史を探究！暗記中心の日本史から資料を読み解き探究する「日本史探究」へ。タレント秋元真夏が高校生たちと、江戸時代の政治の転換期を探究！武力を背景にした武断政治から、学問や法律を尊重する文治政治へ。文治政治ではどのようにして秩序を保ったのだろう？江戸城の中の様子を描いたイメージ画像から読み解こう！社会の安定とともに発達した産業。その影響を反映した地図から、江戸、大坂、京都各都市の特徴を探究しよう！
It started in 1990 as the successor program to "High School Course" (1982-1989). In 1991, it was revamped as "Education Seminar: NHK High School Course" to meet the general audience's need for systematic learning programs. Following the revision of the curriculum guidelines in 2003 and the increase in students choosing correspondence high schools, the title was changed back to "NHK High School Course," and it was broadcast primarily for correspondence high school students at 107 schools nationwide, with the aim of being useful for self-study.
