Most Surprising Route

I play a lot of visual novels and IFs, and sometimes a route that i think will be my least favourite surprises me and becomes one of the best routes and vice versa, so i thought I'd ask others about their most surprising routes both in a good way and in a bad way.

My surprisingly bad route is John from Made Marion, i was really excited for his route to come out as he was one of my favourites in the demo, but when it was finally out i found it really lacking and bland that i had to force myself to finish it just to see the endings.


The route that surprised me in a good way is Aurora from Gangsters in love, i usually play both F and M routes but prefer the male, but Aurora got me and is now one of my favourites in that game, she is so and her route is really interesting and fun.

The last route from UuultraC was... My poor English knowledge doesn't let me convey the whole (ﾟДﾟ) feeling I got from it. It was one of the cruelest, horrible and interesting stories ever. It was not surprising in a good or bad way, just unexpected in general.

when i started playing blackish house side a, i chose madoka's route first and... it wasn't a good decision the bad ending shocked me. i knew the game wasn't exactly lighthearted according to a review i'd seen, but, oh lord!

and since i have depression, depictions of suicide like this really mess with my head a bit...

and then i did gou's route next, which was pretty lukewarm in comparison... that should have been my first

i haven't finished the other two routes and i hope to pick it up again someday, and also play side z too (i was told this one is worse.)

i gotta admit, this got me intrigued. i think i'll give it a try while in a good mental health place

La ruta que me sorprendió gratamente fue la de Helvetica, tanto en la primera como en la segunda temporada de Bustafellows. Su historia me sorprendió; tenía una buena trama y, aunque su personalidad no era de mi agrado, la encontré tolerable. Por otro lado, la ruta que me sorprendió desagradablemente fue la de Soichi de Un:Logical, debido a la personalidad que ocultaba.

Kento from Amnesia. Wasn't interested in him at all, but to play Ukyo's route, you have to play the other ones, so there I was, expecting nothing, and oh gosh, this route gave me a slap on the face, cause I ended up loving it, the dinamic between him and mc and the story overall
