Mobile otome recommendations

I have a lot of otome games/VNs to work through, but the drawback is that most are in my laptop. I bring my phone around way more often, so I want some mobile otome game recommendations please! I prefer that they are not paywalled, or, if they are, it has to be a one-time payment to unlock everything.

Here are a few I already have:
  • Love 365
  • Lovebrush Chronicles
  • Tears of Themis
  • Love and Deepspace
I've downloaded some Ikemen series games before, but the grinding or waiting game required there (and its pay-to-get-nice-scenarios) kind of wears me out.

If Side Kicks! beyond were translated, I'd be all over that biz. OTL

Thanks in advanced!

You didn't mention that one, so maybe Mystic Messenger? That's one of the best mobile otome games out there. There's also Love Unholyc, but I didn't finish it because it's kind of hard to get a good ending playing blind; I only got "comedic" endings. Another one worth trying is Obey Me, although it doesn't have routes for love interests and isn't very romantic, but the dynamics with the boys are really cool! (Oh, and it has a gacha card system like in Tears of Themis). Another one I can think of is Magical Paws; it's very light and fast and has a daily ticket system like the Ikemen franchise games, but at least you don't have to pay to get special endings like you mentioned. I haven't played this one yet, so I don't know if it's good or not, and I recently discovered it while browsing an otome game page I follow on Instagram and YouTube called IkemenFangirl; it's called Call Me Master - an otome game. On that same page I saw another game that's for both mobile and PC called Enkyori Ren ai: otome game. I haven't played that one yet either, but I recommend it if you're interested! There's also Valkyrie Hearts, but that's an 18+ game and it also has gacha elements. If you can, check out that page on Instagram or YouTube; it has several suggestions for otome games that I probably can't remember! Oh, and I almost forgot, there's also My Prince Horse. It's a comedy, but it's cute in its own way XD

Oh my god, how could I forget Mystic Messenger! That game singlehandedly bled my wallet dry back then... I don't have it downloaded, but I do have remaining hourglasses left. I set it aside in the meantime while I still emotionally work through V's route. Something bad always happens to him on literally anyone else's, so I actually haven't done Saeran yet. Thanks for reminding me!

I also had Love Unholyc before, but I don't remember exactly what made me uninstall. Could be translation errors I find are common in a lot of Korean otomes, I finished it, or I cleared it for space haha. This is noted too!

Recommendations of yours I have not downloaded are Magical Paws, Call Me Master, Valkyrie Hearts, Enkyori, and My Prince Horse (but oh boy, the stories I can tell you about how I am familiar with that last one). I'll get to work on demo-ing these one by one because I've looked them up, and they seem promising! I'm surprised about Valkyrie Hearts especially because the only other 18+ gacha-esque otome that I heard caught on with the community is What in Hell is Bad.

I've only followed one consistently uploading otome news YouTuber so far, so thanks for letting me know about IkemenFangirl! That's a relatable name if I've ever seen one HAHA. Your recommendations are a lifesaver!

Have you tried games from SEEC Inc? Idle clicker gameplay and they're relatively easy to finish within a week. I liked My Puppy Fiance the most but the others have bigger casts.

Samurai Love Ballad Party is one of the best otome games you could play on mobile just from the sheer amount of LIs (a whopping 24) that it has, and I think the checkpoints are less grindy than Cybird/Ikemen games. It's also easier to get closet space and the dev is much more generous with the premium currency imo. And I might be biased because I played SLBP before IkeSen, but I like the former's depictions of the LIs way more (SLBP Yukimura is one of my all-time fave).

It's a shame a lot of their standalone apps got removed, but I'd also rec games by Ciagram. They have a library app called L.O.G. but it's buggy and only has a few titles playable in EN. Princess Closet and Chocolate Temptation were decent that I'd rec. I can't recall if Diamond Girl and Dateless Love are also on the app but those two might be my favorites from the dev.

I have not tried anything from SEEC Inc actually! I don't think I'm familiar with idle clicker gameplay in otome. How do they work for their games?

And ah Samurai Love Ballad Party!! Yes, I think you'll find that I burned through a lot of their routes as well when I was younger. I don't recall them as vividly as IkeSen though because I played the latter a lot later on.

From Ciagram, the only game I recognized from what you listed is Princess Closet. I'm glad they didn't completely shut it down because I do not want to start mourning over lost mobile games again (OKKO, I'm still grieving). Last I recall, I was on Akito's route before something else drew my interest away. Thank you and the other commenter for taking me on a nostalgia trip because I'm definitely gonna try and find a way to preserve what's left of your mentions before they all become lost media OTL.

i remember playing a game called Abnormal State, it was lowkey good actually. I think compared to other mobile games they went more easy with ads? lol you can get everything(story and if i remember correct skins?) by just logging in and watching ads. you can even complete it without watching any ads ig but it takes more time

oh and if anyone is interested the same publisher have a pretty similar yuri game too, it was good

Im not really into mobile games so I cannot really give many review ;-;

Idols of Starlight, its has gacha cards, I do recall these some cards do have bonus story but dont matter much (I really mean it, some card are just for show =)). Unlike usual gacha game, the main story is completed and very easy to access, its a bit short though. I think there will be story updates, but for now, it's enjoyable for a short break.

Sweetcore brews, I have not tried it yet :Ddd
Untold Atlas, same creator as Sweetcore brews.
Somnium Eleven, same as those two above.

Nekopara-Catboy Paradise, a very short, free and cute game, just click and read like a typical visual novel game :Ddd

Error143, a free game, it has dlc on steam but I don't think it's available on mobile.

Outlander: Fantastic Princess (the picture), kinda old :Dd the mini game is easy.

Don't get me started on the ad watching for some games I've played 😭; so immersion breaking. But we tolerate our best for the bestest LIs. The art looks good! I'll also give this a download—especially if they know how to tone the plugs down.

I actually have tried Sweetcore Brews, but only as far as the demo went. I didn't realize it was out already! As for Untold Atlas, Error143, and Somnium Eleven, they're on my list on itch.io already hehe.

Idols of Starlight might be an insta download from me! As addicting as they are, I really like gacha games actually. The thing that I want is when gacha are a lot more otome-oriented with the protagonist getting a lot more attention in terms of action and story. That's why I'm really excited to try this, thanks!

As for Nekopara and Outlander, I'll never say no to free games 😁. Noted them too.

OH MY GOD, THOSE ARE SEEC? I played both of those before (ToT) I didn't know they shut down. Do you think the APK files would still work? I don't remember if they depended on a server or anything. Man, that suckss OTL.

Ayakashi & Sweets! It's set in the "Spirit World", and we have a nine tailed fox, Ghost and other ones as love interests. I played it a long time ago but definitely enjoyed it 😊

I tried to install it just now it doesn't install for newer versions of android but it might work on an older version

I played Outlander: Fantastic Princess when I was so young! I didn't realize the company is still alive 😳😳

It looks like they removed all of their games from the android store though... I haven't used ios in a long time, sadly I can't play their games anymore unless I get a new iphone or ipad :(

From what I remember, the gacha system in Idols of Starlight is just for decoration ;"( but it's been a long time so maybe there's some decent content now? Or maybe lower your hopes ;"(

I don't see you mention it so if you like gacha games then maybe try Ayakashi: Romance Reborn, the gacha content has shut down so they no longer have new content, but I think you can still gacha the old content :Dd. On the other hand, the main story is good enough for me though, may I say, it's one of Voltage's best mobile games despite its flaws.

Another gacha game is Arcana Twilight, some say it's kind of like Obey Me.
Infinite Blue: Scavenger Hunt, a very short, free and text game.
Where's Tess, I think you can pay to unlock the full story instead of waiting daily? I dont remember though ;"(
Proposed by a Demon Lord, it's a paid game, you can pay per route or for all characters.

Btw, Light and Night is coming to SEA, so maybe if you are interested, you can check it out.

It's okay, I still downloaded it! I LOVE HIKARU! Thank you for this recommendation. I'm loving it so far 🥺

I also did play a few routes on Ayakashi before, but I was really sad that the Tatsuomi route never saw the light of day. I can't find signs of it anywhere :( I also did Arcana Twilight, but the translation was progressively getting harder to understand, so I placed myself on hiatus there.

BUT LIGHT AND NIGHT GETTING LOCALIZED? o(TヘTo) My prayers have been answered.

Thank you for these! I have to ask--these don't have English translations? I've actually seen many interesting otomes on qooapp, but the language barrier has stopped me one too many times from downloading _(:'з)∠)_

Actually, in my desperation, I used tap to translate for Side Kicks! I completely forgot I could use them for qooapp 🫶

Thanks for the VPN recommendation, I used TunnelBear before, but it didn't work very well.
