MMD discussion and sharing

people forget that uploader/sharer can just... Choose not to share anything anymore if they were forced to do something they didnt like
I wasn't meaning anything like that, nothing about forcing anybody. I was just meaning those who only share if they are trading seem scummy in comparison to the many others in here who share what they have without the requirement of having to obtain something in return for it.

Greetings

I know it's a long shot but does any kind soul have L_Losrick collection?

There are a few from this year and the collection from 2022 to 2024 which can be bought from this link:

https://lacertid.fanbox.cc/posts/10827705

To be frank I wish I could've bought it myself but online transactions isn't a thing from where I am, and I can't exactly afford it either even if it was possible.

Thank you for your kindness and for having heared my request.

Can you specifically explain how Pikpak has devastated this thread and made the situation serious?
Aren't you just talking nonsense because you're angry that you can't download from Pikpak?

You once boldly told a heavy uploader who used Workupload, "You can't preview videos on Workupload," and told them not to upload via Workupload.
Is Pikpak the target this time?
Users in China need to mount VPN when visiting these websites, and uploading these websites may cause more traffic expenses.

The forum is a mess.

I thought Pikpak cost less than $10 a month. Isn't it a good deal to get access to countless creators' works for just $10?

For reference, I switched from Mega to Pikpak.

At the very least, people telling others not to use Pikpak should suggest a cheaper program or site with more storage and better uploading features before telling them to avoid Picpak.

This is my collection.

I know it's large, so I won't set any time limits. Feel free to take what you need.

I've tried Pixeldrain too, but while it might handle a few individual videos, it's terrible for managing large numbers of files.

Pikpak is currently the best cloud service for transferring large files, no matter what anyone says. It's also cheap and can be purchased with cryptocurrency. If you have slow speeds, use a paid VPN.

I'm not following the whole discussion, but I've seen some comments about PikPak and thought I'd just add my opinion.
From the perspective of a downloader with a free account it is probably the worst hoster there is right now. Unless I misunderstood something, it requires you to create an account and install a download client, you then have to import the file to your free account with only 6GB storage and only then can you save the file to your device and the download speeds vary from extremely slow to just barely acceptable and after every download you gotta clear out the file from your account to import the next one and so on. Compare that to pixeldrain or gofile where you can get pretty fast speeds as a free user with no account and the only hindrance is the download limit which is fairly easily bypassed if you know how. At least from the perspective of a free downloader that showcases pretty clearly what the preference would be.

I've never uploaded to PikPak so not sure what's more convenient with it. I've been using pixeldrain with a free account and it allows for files up to 20GB, which is plenty enough, offers unlimited storage, lets you set up folders and sort stuff and despite it saying files expire after 120 days they haven't really for me, not sure if it's because people still access them or what. Uploading is a simple drag and drop into the browser and it's the same for gofile with you not even needing an account. So given all that I can almost not imagine a reason for how PikPak can be more convenient as an uploader, because what more convenience is there to get? So I'm genuinely asking, what makes it better for some of you guys?
Most PikPak links I've seen are just very large, mostly poorly sorted and labeled collections that I tend to just ignore because the interface is way too much of a hassle to figure out what new stuff is in the links. I can't even copy the filenames from PikPak links to simply compare. You can't translate stuff either directly in the browser. It lets you preview the video a little bit at least. But yeah I'm just ignoring most PikPak links and before I'd pay for that I'd just pay the creators directly to support them.

Can I ask what this is referring to?
Cloudflare WARP I assume. It gives you a new IP address and through resetting the encryption keys in the settings you can do so repeatedly and it lets you bypass the download limits on some sites while also barely lowering your speed and it's free.

Pikpak works by having User A upload File A, which then gets recorded on Pikpak's servers. So when User B uploads File A, it's instantly available in the cloud. Sharing a file from my computer to Pikpak takes almost no time at all. If content on Pikpak looks messy, it's just because that particular uploader didn't organize it—there are plenty of people who keep things neat and tidy.

If others had simply ignored Pikpak links like yours—a perfectly normal and reasonable choice—none of this would have happened.
The choice made by those who resent Pikpak was to appeal to conscience and morality, treating Pikpak uploaders like sinners, while urging people to reupload all the content from Pikpak to other platforms for their own benefit right now. :(
In their set of options, "ignore Pikpak links" or "pay for a premium account" simply don't exist.

Some people seriously suggest that it's better to support creators than to spend money on Pikpak.
Well, trying to obtain all the content available on Pikpak through direct creator support would likely cost over $5,000.

If you're here to get resources for free, then you have no reason to complain, because that would be an insult to these selfless contributors.
Just when I thought I couldn't hate the platform and its users more. Anyone using pikpak should be strung up by their balls on the nearest crane, since I doubt that a tree can hold their weight.

I'd usually end these posts by sharing something, but my man n******* just had surgery and couldn't post anything for November. I'm sorry I couldn't offer anything to counterbalance my vitriol.

Eh? a simple metaphor goes that far in your eyes? I thought he was being a bit flowery but not excessively so. Also, I would guess english is not his native language and maybe (unlikely) he is typing in his native language which gets translated to english for us.

Even if I'm wrong about all of that, I think overreacted.... his point was basically "Don't whine or be ungrateful when you're getting stuff for free" which I generally agree with. As for 'pikpak', apparently it's very popular in China but outside of it, not so much. That is where this disconnect is happening I think, not sure though.

....

In any case, I'm grateful there are people that provide any content on any platform.
In China, Baidu Cloud remains the mainstream platform, with PIAPAK merely filling a gap. Chinese resource forums are primarily filled with Baidu Cloud resources. However, I often see sharers mirroring resources from one forum or another, creating Baidu Cloud copies for sharing, just like the frequent requests here for mirrored Baidu Cloud resources.

I don't understand this community's aversion to torents. They don't get dmca'd and you can pick and choose or download everything. There's enough people here that they could be seeded forever even if most people only download one or two from a collection. I've been seeding the collection torrents from f95 for years now and people are still downloading them e.g. this HDL collection torrent from 2023:

It's probably because downloading from cloud drives is much simpler than downloading from torrents that it's become the mainstream method here. If the forum mandated torrent sharing, I'm sure many people would request mirrored torrents as cloud drive links.
