LI already in love with Mc Vs Falling in love during the route

So I know all these childhood friend, classmates, coworkers, step brothers are sometimes already in love with Mc prior to the start of the game. So was wondering if others preferred one to the other. I am pretty split its nice to see a yearner LI from start but also nice to see them fall in love gradually.

I'd say I'm also pretty evenly split, as in I have some favorites from each category... I guess seeing someone fall in love from scratch, when it's well written, can be much more interesting but it's always nice to have a long time yearner in the cast for some variety in dynamics. Even if it's sad when thinking about them in the context of other routes lol... But that's also the fun part! And besides all that I do really like "met before and reunited" storylines.

In case of an already in love character, it's nice when the route is about the LI and MC being at odds for the first time or the LI seeing a new side of the MC.

Perhaps I prefer falling in love slowly, for example, Zayne from Lads. When I first met him, I wasn't very impressed, but after reading his first myth where they first met and slowly fall in love, I've actually started to like him more

Seeing the LI gradually fall in love and discover MCs different sides is my favourite part, ESPECIALLY if he didn't like her at first or maybe didnt care about her much initially!

If an LI is already in love at the start thats like losing 50% of the fun part that gets me squealing and kicking my feet

i'm torn on this one. i myself love a good yearning, but i also get conflicted when i proceed from the route of the LI and get internally reminded that they'll like the MC no matter what route. so in order to preseve myself from that, i think i prefer the pair to fall in love in their own terms lmao

I love both. But watching the LI gradually fall in love definitely has its own charm. The LI can change little by little, from his gestures or how he responds when he falls in love. It's a huge plus point if the MC falls first but the LI falls harder lol

I love both, as long it's well written and both the MC and LI have good character development. I love seeing the MC and LI slowly fall in love with each other, but sometimes I also love it when the LI is already in love and trying to win the MC over. I feel like it's usually the MC winning the LI over, chasing after him, and supporting him so I would to see the roles reversed. I think it'd be really refreshing and fun to see!

Depends on the story and characters i guess, but i usually like both specially friends to lovers if there is a lot of pinning first lol

I like both, but I LOVE slow burns, so I have to go with seeing them slowly falling in love.

It really depends, but I think I like more when the ML falls in love during the route. The way his feelings slowly grows... It makes your heart all warm and fluffy.
