In BL games, do you prefer top MC, bottom MC or Switch MC ?

I prefer bottom MC, I have avoided all games with top MC to date, the only one I've considered playing is Ooe and that's because of the rave reviews from both BL lovers and non BL lovers. Even in games like Omerta or shingakkou, i've just either not selected or skipped past any top roles. If you were to ask me why, it really just doesn't suit my pallete, I don't feel as invested I guess, and it isn't as hot for me? But maybe that's a whole lot of TMI in which case I apologize

Switch all the way, the only problem i have with top mc is Lls usually very feminine, i wanna top beefy man too not just some femboy 😭

If I Feel S , Then I'll Go For Top , Since It's Most Likely A Domination Work . . . . . . .
If I Feel M , Then I'll Go For Bot , Since It's Most Likely A Submissive Work . . . . . . .

My Perfect One Would Be Switch ! ! ! ! ! !
But I Do Wish I Could Find More BL With Variation Of The Top / Bot , S / M , Dom / Sub Dynamics Without Them Following The Same Combinations !

I prefer bottom MCs, but, as ADELTA's work had shown, anything would be ok, if the story is interesting. Still, I "was raised" on ukes in main characters, so having them (or a switch option) feels most traditional
 
I like Switch MC. I usually have a fixed top and bottom, but sometimes I like the situations where they change roles~, I can't remember, but it was quite fun doing it with each other's bodies as the consciousness of couples was reversed in a certain BL in the past

Switch MCs all the way, especially when YOU get to choose. I loved the freedom given to me in, for example, BaraKi and Shingakkou. But I also understand that increases the workload, so I guess this is why it's not more common.

That said, I do play switch MC routes too, but only when the LI feels like a good fit for the bottom role. I guess for me it's less about a fixed preference and more about whether the chemistry between the MC and LI clicks in that specific route.

Hmm, I've only experienced bottom MCs so far in the BL games I've played (granted, I haven't played that many 😅). Honestly, I don't think I'd enjoy playing as a top MC. A switch MC would be fine too!!, but I definitely prefer bottom.
 
Even though I've never played a Switch MC BL game myself, if I had to pick one, I'd go with a Switch MC game. Because that way, it's twice the fun :LOL: —you can explore the story and the dynamics between the characters from multiple angles.

that was a hard question.. but l think bottom and switch? l prefer top also but l mostly more prefer bottom mc.
 
I prefer switch MC. It's so interesting to see him with different partners. Would be cool to see MC being top and bottom with one partner more

Bottom mc of course, especially if the mc is cute. Usually for top mc they are more sadistic, so i don't really like it.
 
i don't mind actually w/c is which. but i think we do need more top mc... usually games only have either bot mc or switch mc so yeah....
 
As long as the MC's characterization doesn't fall into stereotypes and they're given a rich, varied portrayal,
I'll love them no matter what type they are！

Here are some thoughts and fantasies I have：
Bottom MC：
A realist who calmly observes and assesses everything around him.
Incredibly good at handling people and navigating social situations,
and especially skilled at negotiating deals.
Someone with a strong thirst for knowledge and a constant drive to get to the bottom of things.
If he falls for someone, he'll carefully observe everything about them,
then pursue them, knowing exactly how to make their heart flutter.

Top MC：
Someone who uses clever strategies to get a whole bunch of LIs,
who are either physically big and imposing or have an aloof and haughty personality,
to willingly reveal the side of themselves that longs to be understood.
He lets the other person be the one to approach him,
then slowly creates this venomous vibe that wraps around them,
until they eventually fall into the sweet spider web he's carefully laid out....
(And it really needs to be built up gradually through a long period of interaction for it to feel convincing.)

I've never played a game with a top MC, only bottoms (Nitro Chiral) or switch (Omerta) but I do think it's more interesting if the MC is a switch. In all these games I guess the MC's position makes sense for the LI in question but I wouldn't mind having more routes with a top MC.
