I just saw the massive otome sales going on and honestly wow, plenty of them are an absolute steal! I know we're literally on a sharing forum, but considering how massive these discounts are, is anyone planning to buy a game or two?

If so, what are you buying? And even if you are not, are there any games in the sale that you'd especially recommend to others?

I'm primarily a PC gamer, and I think I've already previously bought everything on that list that's available on Steam (yes, all... what, 4 of them?). Never broke into Switch games, although I probably should considering the number that are only available in that format.

If I WAS buying a switch game, tho - I'd pick up Collar x Malice. It has been on my list to play FOREVER.

I prefer to have physical copies of switch games, so alas, I am not going to take advantage of these digital sales. *sighs*

That being said, if I were to pick a game from the screenshots you have shared, then I would choose Jack Jeanne, as it's not often that you see an otome game that has other types of gameplay so intertwined with the typical visual novel format these days.

I won't be buying yet. I am saving money for Olympia 2 to come out. I enjoy the beautiful background and settings of the story. My boyfriend also like the story, he always ask if I finished each route and the hints or any changes in the ending

not yet! i'm waiting for a bigger sale, especially for virche fandisc, and i'm also currently playing 9rip so i don't feel like i should buy another one right now 😅

i think from that list i'd rec cupid parasite & olympia soiree the most!

Oooh yes! CxM was my very first switch game. Have you ever considered using an emulator since you primarily play on PC?

I'd prefer physical copies too. I love having a collection and being able to admire the case art, but ughhh I wish physical games go on sale but it rarely does. And yesss Jack Jeanne! I heard the sequel is coming out sometime soon too 👀

I usually only buy physical game cartridges and don't buy digital products unless they are officially only available online without physical cartridges. I will buy the digital version. I really enjoy collecting game cartridges and putting them in my display cabinet. Inside, there are character cards, badges, and booklets, which give me a great sense of achievement!

Same here! And that's amazing your boyfriend enjoys the story. Does he have a favorite LI? What about you? Mine's Himuka and Akaza hehe. I plan to replay the game soon too to refresh my memory. Gonna be cheering you on with your saving up!

I generally only pirate games that are in Japanese - if it's been localized or was created by an English-speaking company, I'll save up and buy it on PC. Partly because I really can't afford to spend between $30 and $60 on a game in a language I can't even read without assistance, and partly because I want to do my part to encourage places that localize to keep doing what they're doing.

That said, for the stuff I DO download... between mounting .iso's and juggling Locale Emulator and my translator app, I'm a little burnt on the additional stuff needed to play my games. I've been eyeing up a switch for a while, though, so I may just ask my family to help me chip in for one for the holidays in a few months.

I love Akaza route the best, its like the finale of the story that match the mystery of the island. My boyfriend does not have interest on male leads. He only likes about how the author make good setting and society that similar to reality. He also looking foward to Olympia 2 story and have high expectations. He loves to solve mystery with me when I am playing the routes.

Same I concur about Collar x Malice I use to play it on my PS Vita.

How I wish i could get a Switch

I wish we had more sales for otome games on steam (╥_╥)
Some of them are way over-priced for me (Butterfly's Poison, Arcana Famiglia, Bustafellows, Dandelion, Prince of Tennis.....)
