How do you pick your first LI in otome games?

For me, since I don't have any idea of their personalities. I go for their looks. Preferably if they have long and red hair, and a dazzling face. I would go for that route immediately XD

Definitely his looks first, then how he talks (or personality) lol but I always follow the route order from walkthrough. So, I'm just eyeing him until I get into his route lmao


If there's no walkthrough, I'll play the cold LI with silver or black hair first lol

If there is a common route or prologue i choose the one that i liked/ stood out the most, if not then i too go on looks the one i think looks the most attractive lol

Since I've always decided the order of who based on looks, I never really agonized over the choice—though I did spend time debating who was more handsome.

I usually start with the one that I'm least interested in and work my way up to my favorite.
I don't feel like doing the other routes if I start with my favorite.

i usually choose my first li based on character design and personality. i tend to go for the character who is closest to my type.

character design is usually what catches my attention first, but personality is just as important. if i really like a character's design but don't like his personality, then he's probably not a match for me.

I realised I go for the most mysterious looking,brooding one or the long haired one lol >_< Usually long haired LI's are mysterious though haha

I search for a route order, and if there isn't one, I go for the first one who catches my eye.

I usually decide based on the recommended route order. If there isn't one, I tend to go for the character I'm least interested in first, or the one who seems less important to the main story.
For example, if the game has some kind of hidden secret, I'll do the routes that don't reveal much about it first. I like to save the main love interest, or the character I'm most interested in, for last. That way, I can save the best for later and keep having something to look forward to until the end.

I think when I play games, I should look at the characteristics and temperament of the male protagonist, whether it matches my own brainwave. I can accept diversity in appearance, but it depends on whether it suits my taste. Being able to attract me is the most important thing, I will be the first to take his path.

Usually, I search for a route order. If I can't find one, I go by the guy I like the least so I can be done with it. I like to save my favourites for last, feels like a lil reward :)
