How do you feel about official non-otome media getting otome game adaptations?

The title pretty much states it all, but here's the question again:

Out of curiosity, how do you guys feel about official anime/manga/non-otome games/etc. getting otome game adaptations?

Does it matter if it's an official adaptation or not?

Do fanartists do it better or official productions?

Personally, I've never cared for them as I feel like I'm playing through crappy fanfiction.

well, for my opinion it's pretty fun. I would like to see such as durarara to be an otome game too *_*
doesn't matter official or not, as long as we can enjoy date with our fav character that's enough, I guess.
some of fan made game can be better :D

It doesn't really matter to me whether it's an official adaptation or not, as long as it's based on a franchise I'm interested in enough to try. That said, I wouldn't have high expectations, as I tend to see those kinds of adaptations as a form of weak fanfiction as well. As for who does it better, I wouldn't know since I haven't actually played any... even if there are a few I'm interested to try.
