I watched the first episodes of Pokemon when it first aired on national television. I was instantly intrigued by the difference to ordinary cartoons at that time because the plot actually went somewhere with character development. And as time went on, more anime aired alongside Pokemon and I didn't even care for what demographic the anime was supposed to be directed towards so I also watched Sailor Moon, Wedding Peach and even Digimon. My thirst knew no bounds.
Negima, a well balance manga with ecchi and plot. Good character development as well. I love long manga so that I can see the improvement of art's style overtime.
My brother found a full pirated download of Pokemon for us to watch together when I was younger. That is how my interest grew in the subject. Now I am an avid lover of the medium, and wish to share that.
I do not remember, I think I saw some fan-made clips with music and got curious? For first anime that I was aware of it being "anime" (Japanese origin, fandom, culture and opening door to my anime journey) is probably Angel Beats or Clannad. There were other series I watched before but I did not care what "anime" was
I used to watch the mentalist on indavideo, and the site had recommended me to watch Strike the blood for some reason, saying that it's similar to The Mentalist . The rest is history ☆*: .。. o(≧▽≦)o .。.:*☆
I saw Bleach on some site at the start. But i started watching a lot of anime after i joined small manga club. (it was mostly art club in anime style, not a real manga one)
Through my brother actually, I mean we had cartoon network and toonami as kids so Pokémon was always running and I had the ds games for it but like neither of us knew it was anime per say. One day one of his friends introduced him to bleach and he introduced me, and the rest was history I guess.
