Blood-C, No 6, Kamisama no Momochou. I like mecha and fantasy anime best, but I'll watch almost anything.

Taiga from Toradora! Lacus Clyne from Gundam SEED is a close second.

Metal, Hard Rock, Jpop/Jrock, pretty much anything from the 80s.

'Nowhere' by FictionJunction has been getting a lot of play on my ipod lately.

No visual novels, though I do play JRPGs.

I can follow a casual conversation, but I can't read or speak japanese. I still need subtitles.
Q. What's your opinion between the differences of Cartoons and Anime?
Cartoons are animations meant to tell a joke or a gag. Anime is meant to tell a story through plot and narrative structure. It doesn't really matter where the animation is produced. For example, I would call 'The Iron Giant' an anime despite the animation being produced in a US studio. Likewise, I'd call something like 'Crayon Shin-chan' a cartoon.
