The player can choose who he’ll romance, if he wants to start a romance with a family member, get a “normal” girlfriend and so on. He’ll get to choose which way he wants to do that, start a gentle love story, be an asshole who takes what he wants or corrupts them to earn money (example). The player can decide everything, for example: Whether to have a secret relationship with mom, a gentle romance with a girlfriend while forcing his sister into a relationship with a friend, who pays him for this. Or leave the family members alone and have several girlfriends instead.
So the player will decide everything in the game, what he wants to do and how he wants to play. Like a dating simulator. But this game will have a dark (rough and violent) background setting and there’s always rivals, which look to “steal” your girls; and the tyrant himself as named in the title. It’ll also be harder to archive your goals and there will be many ways to get there.
Almost all content will be avoidable.​

That was 40 years ago and they are now living peacefully on earth. But they know that the Everáks are still out there and that it's only a matter of time until their power craving race finds out about earth. Since they don't want that their history repeats itself they formed something called the Protectors.
Gameplay:
There won't be a level up system. But there will be several martial art schools who can teach you new skills and a fully flashed out crafting and upgrade system for weapon and armor.
Fighting won't be tedious anymore. Every enemy will have his own tactics and weaknesses and if you can't beat someone you might just lack a certain skill to beat him. Most of the fights should be pretty fast done and shouldn't require you to spam the same attack over and over again.
You can now sneak and jump, which should lead to some interesting missions and puzzles.
No more game overs after losing a fight. If you lose a fight you have to deal with the consequences, what consequences these are depends on the person you lost to.
A lot of interesting sidequests and jobs. Every job will have his own little story with a few choices, random events and ways to get promoted.
You can now get pregnant. If you aren't careful and don't use contraception you might end up pregnant. This won't lead to a game over and you can keep on playing but it will make things certainly more complicated.

I decided that the last version wasn't exactly living up to the standards of our times, it was feeling a little anachronistic, so I decided to go in a slightly different direction with it.
Rogue-Like 2020 is a more modern take on the format, and due to patron feedback, I've upped the initial cashflow, and increased the rate at which characters' stats grow. There have also been some updates to the story elements. Also Jean is in! She isn't fully implemented yet, but she's in there. Also, you can flirt up to 5 times per time period! Also improved phone sex options. Also, you can study over the phone if you prefer.
For now, keep your old 0.990 copy of the game around for a bit, we'll see how you like this new version first. The new version won't use any of the old save files, but your old saves will be safe and still work with vanilla Rogue-Like: Evolution.
known issues:
- If you go to a different girl's room before Jeans, Jean's intro will play out, but it only does this the one time, so not a big deal.
