Help with translating グローサーフッド

[Murderous Int]

I'm working on a FTL for DominancE. But have come stuck on the name of one of the alien species. So I was hoping some people better at Japanese here would be able to help me.
In Japanese it's グローサーフッド

My guess is that's a play on another language but in Japanese.
In English I came to: GrotesqueShaft or GrossShaft?
But if it's also a play on German it could be: GroßSchwanz or GroßSchaft.

Any help with this would be much loved. Thank You
