R.U.R.U.R 〜ル・ル・ル・ル〜 このこのために、せめてきれいな星空を

I've always had trouble installing this game for some reason whether an older computer or newer one it wouldn't work. I'm thinking I'm patching it wrong? maybe.
I was wondering if anyone's played this game in windows 8.1 to begin with. Would 7 or older work better. I put everything in Japanese I could and ran RURUR_NoDVD_Patch which did something to malie.exe and gave me malie.old. When I click the exe this comes up Screenshot (1).png

The patch also has this listed in the WinRAR folder: 使い方
インストールしたフォルダーに解凍して実行
パッチ対象ファイル名 「malie.exe」
MD5:f690946695ea0615968bd499e5143a1e malie.exe
以下を参考にしました。

※Alphaの方はreg.exeを.000生成型汎用で
it means to edit something doesn't it? I've never done that before so I'm sure what to do or what program to use. If anyone could offer advice or point me somewhere where I could find the answers I'd appreciate it. :puniko_confused:

Try use (NoCD Patch) AlphaROM 3.x .000生成型汎用 rev2 or (NoCD Patch) AlphaROM 2.1~3.1汎用 rev4 for Reg.exe.

In my case(win7 64bit)

I change the installation directory to C:\GAME\light\R.U.R.U.R
Note : You better stop installing the old game in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files (x86)
No DVD Patch Run.....Success.
AlphaROM 3.x .000生成型汎用 rev2 Run.....fail:confused:
AlphaROM 2.1~3.1汎用 rev4 Run.....Success.
Game run.....Success.
Happy:D

For me Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit

I uninstalled moved to C, set up just like yours. Installed fine, patch worked fine, failed AlphaROM 3.x .000生成型汎用 rev2 and AlphaROM 2.1~3.1汎用 rev4 failed as well. Just gave me the same response as posted before. Maybe it's do to with windows 8.1 Pro, my only choice at this point would be to try and buy their 2014 download version somehow I guess

What did you do to start it in win 8.1? I have the same problem I could not do anything please help

A given mission, mechanical assault, manufactured devotion.
Red eyes, an upside-down form. Even the twisted shape was made to be that way.
No matter how cruel the slaughter, worse than a demon's,
or how gentle the kindness, greater than an angel's,
a machine has neither will nor madness—only code, and a few bugs.
So why, then, does it feel so unbearably sad?
